ALL vouchers of £10.00 and over show 999 in the barcode. They just need to enter the voucher amount. I'd be complaining to HO about this store's refusal to accept the APG voucher if it's legit. Should expect at least an additional GC to compensate for the inconvenience/embarassment/annoyance.

And for any sugestion/mention of fraud or other dubious practices in a public area where other shoppers could see/hear what was going on I would expect a very healthy gift card and/or gift box as well as profuse apologies all round. They have absolutely no right to accuse any of us who are simply shopping as per their own APG policy of any such thing ! I don't mind at all if they read all the details on coupons etc and call a supervisor to check - I know they have to do it right or risk getting told off - but I strongly object to being treated like a criminal.

See there has been a few troutings recently

Put yourself in sa shoes someone turns up with a voucher having spent £12 and have a £13 voucher from it would you not think it was dodgy ;);)
Especially if others have been using fake ones in their store and no doubt all be warned about accepting them from their managers

They are only doing a job folks ;)

If you go over £9.99 we all know they need to be input manually therefore making an already nervous sa even more wary ;)

David - I agree with that but being ultra careful should not include accusing customers of fraudulent practices. There are ways of checking politely.

I've only ever gone over the £10 APG once by 72p...I was a little worried about presenting it but the SA just looked at it and said "gosh you did well there" and overrode it.

luckily I've never had a trouting over an APG.... but I know my time will come and I have perfected the calm but firm approach for when it happens...as learnt in T with my negotiations over DTD!

I too have been lucky enough to avoid trouting in A's - even during the bonanza days a yesr or two ago when hug APG's were commonplace. The worst that has happened is that they have asked me for advice on how they can do it as well! I am generally calm and reasonable and, should the worst happen, I hope I would maintain a calm attitude. However, if the ever mention 'fraud' in the hearing of other customers, I really don't think I could avoid getting extremely angry. I just hope I can keep my voice well down when I let them know just how angry I am. I know its best to keep a low profile and I always try to do that - but nobody is going to get away with accusing me of fraud.

    Hi everyone :)

I feel a bit of a failure tonight, no glitches to report :( I noticed Savvy was eagerly awaiting me to find something but no new multibuys due tomorrow have been updated as yet. Its not all bad news though because if anything appears tomorrow it may work all day, as with the chips ahoy last week, they didn't appear on A5da website until Wednesday so worked all day, whereas the ones which had shown on Tuesday didn't work (or may have worked early morning before my shop at 7:30am)

There's no update about which Finish Tabs will be on offer, so no idea about that
    http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml?cmpid=ahc-_-ghs-d1-_-asdacom-dsk-_-hp#/promotion/ls84261
If anyone is still up after midnight it may be worth checking the above link to see if more info has been added but its a long shot as it may not even compare to anywhere. I'll check again in the morning if anything new has been added

It could conceivably be the Finish Tabs 34 - Lemon and Regular versions are available - as they have previously been £6 according to msm's price history. Currently £12 straight on msm for A. Each is now showing £6 for Sains. - but watch the price comparison compare vs previous price of £12 for S as that offer goes on in S only from tomorrow and therefore won't be in the system until it has updated 'between 6 and 7 am'. Seems like we may be caught between glitch A price in the old system but new Sains price not in the system until the A pricing has corrected:(. Let's hope it only appears on a.com on Wednesday - and works all the rest of the day - if it is this one and that the nice high individual price is maintained and not slashed to something silly.

WENDYAK - so sorry to hear about your loss.

QOC - hope you manage to get your coat sorted.

Went to use an APG voucher with the JF today. Got trouted big style. I was accused of fraud and for printing out vouchers more than once because someone else who uses my store has been doing it and they had a voucher for £12+ too. !!!!!!! Made me stand there near CS for over half an hour. I thought I was going to get arrested. I was proper bricking it. A manager was called who eventually OK'd it and let me go.

How do you guys manage to use big APG's without drama? :(:(:(

    By keeping them under tenner?

Sorry to hear you have been trouted mimi, not sure what others have said but I only do shops with loads more than just 10p fillers and always make sure my APG will scan by being under £10, it seems to set alarm bells ringing if they don't scan even if they are legit.

In 1 local store they are calling over a supervisor for any apg over £3 due to fake apg's :o:o

Can I just ask - how do they tell an APG is fake ? Do they mean its been used before - if so, they surely would only know if they have a database of all APG numbers to compare it against. And they would need to include all store nationwide. Checkig would be a nightmare. Or do they mean that some devious git has somehow edited the actual APG to scan at a much higher value. I don't understand all these suggestions of fraudulent vouchers.

Yes probably ... I tend to point out errors like this (or when they try giving me the vouchers back after scanning - happened a couple of times ) and tell them that their till will be out. I find that this approach may mean they are then recruited for any future "requirements." ;)

I went back to the bank once because the cashier had counted tenner more than I should have had. I couldn't have lived with my conscious at the thought of them being in trouble for being down. :o
