Thanks so much. Is it not tricky though, if you decide not to keep them and have to return them, when you've got such a big APG? Or do they not connect the two?

The only thing i say iis, keep an eye on your bank account that you get the difference in money refunded , i have had to chase them up before and i know David has too.

Grrrrrrrr Ebay buyers think you are totally stupid, i may be a little bit :rotfl: but fancy signing for something and then sending me a message i have not received my item:mad:
If your ssoing to try and scam someone i suggest its not a sign for item you have signed for:rotfl:

So my contract is finishing next week. No extension. It's what I was hoping for as this series has been a nightmare and my heart hasn't been in it. It wasn't what I thought it would be at all.
So we don't need to Sky Plus this new series, then? And you won't be drycleaning your posh frock and writing an acceptance speech for the BAFTAs?
For your next programme ideas pitch meeting, I should lend you my TV Programme Generator:cool:, originally in Viz in a strip about Ant & Dec where they invented a TV programme generator using buzz phrases and bits of other programme names; which I actually cut out of the magazine and made:D
    TV_zpsaff0b85c.jpg
Just spin the wheels and see what TV programmes it comes up with ... let's have a go...
Celebrity Lion Tamer Gender Swap on Ice
Gordon Ramsay's Fashion Design Sex Academy's Little Brother
Ant & Dec's Haemorrhoid Surgery Boot Camp's Naughtiest Blunders

    and of course
Alan Sugar's Bomb Disposal Neighbours from Hell
    - the scary thing is, since the TV Generator was in Viz, similar programmes have been made:eek:

I too would like to know this, as above £9.99 (or £9.98) have a different b/c prefix to below/equal.

    991961 val val x
    991842 226 999 x (x is checksum)

    Gives 1001 different b/c combinations.

Edit: I'm thinking 'laziest' system for A would be 999 in any moc - so reckon that's what they d
    o :rotfl:

It's not A's system - it's the voucher industry's/Valassis's. They have a set number of digits as an industry standard - I read [red] about it somewhere - a bit like ISBNs for books, and the final digit of the barcode is a check digit.

You are indeed correct, I hadn't even looked at the other numbers - so it may be that £9.99 is the max on their till/voucher system without the price prompt as elsewhere in the barcode (991842 226 999) is instructing it to price prompt.

That said ... when we are getting the DTD on meat at Mr T, we are getting it precisely because the expensive price is embedded in the barcode, so technically they "could" include £10+ price in there if they wanted to/set their system up slightly differently :). Perhaps they have set it this way precisely because it then prompts the CS to do another check above £9.99 ...?

That's barcodes on food (specifically 'fresh food') items, rather than voucher barcodes, so it's a different system.

However, I'll leave the list with its bold and crossings out as easier for me to see what was there - for my own purposes this time;) - and also you can see the newly-added items there for a little longer. Don't buy the crossed-out items:rotfl:, and best of luck on anything else.

I came across S/P Pasta Shapes (500g) - packets and cereals - one of the muggles in my store managed to pay 39p for them (maybe my store has a different price?) but they compare vs Morries at 29p. T 35p. Watch the SELs as you may be entitled to a GC. Showing 29p on a.com and msm - if bought instore, they compare from whatever price you originally paid.

    Hi,
OH has just been trouted in this store with a large but legit APG.
They refused to take it as the said its faulty. They said the amount back should show in the barcode, from what I know anything over £9:99 doesn't show on barcode, is this true?

They said that to me last night. I tried telling them it would only be in the barcode if under £10, but was told I was wrong and it would always show. Girl had a speech impediment, so very difficult to understand, but got the bit about Manager said to put it through :D

The individual digits are multiplied one by one with a set sequence of numbers, and the total has to be divisible by, usually, 10 or 11; or the individual digits are added together and again the total has to be divisible by a certain number ...the check digit makes that calculation possible.
You can work them out for yourself if you want ... see 'How to Calculate a Check Digit Manually'
