I filled my form in for Mr T's tasting evening the other night.

Should I have had word back saying date and time I selected please ?
  • On the subject of irons, we have an expensive steam iron because its more efficient than cheaper ones and makes the job easier. I really hate ironing more than any other household chore. I should imagine that smartprice irons are similar to the irons found in hotels, ie a load of rubbish! :D

I know exactly what you mean about the smell of these cabbages Nanny, they stink! it took me about 3 days to locate the smell of them, it smells like curry and i was blaming my OH`s feet for the odour for days..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

I did catch up with BBC Watchdog - I don't normally watch it but the teaser trailer got me (for this final episode of the series) - they also featured NPower and billing issues - they had a problem with their billing system which, NPower says, it's now sorted yet Watchdog continued to receive complaints. NPower (I'm paraphrasing) says complaints now down by a third and that the matter is being rectified. Anne Robinson said "They said exactly the same thing last time".

It would just be so cynical. Companies in general - this is not specifically directed at NPower (indeed, that now makes it a far worse position that it applies generally across the board, therefore is endemic, and not merely to one specific business) - it just seems modus operandi. They just always say these things, nothing ever happens and yet again it's just something they say. It's just so typical IMO - and I've concluded the whole world is a complete sham and never says anything honest or truthful - and then won't admit that to be the situation and will just deny it.

Who cares anyway? It's irrelevant and of no consequence since it won't change and this post on the internet will have absolutely no effect or consequence. However it does give me a good rant. I expect things to be completely wrong and will be disappointed if my low expectations are not met - unfortunately they usually are met - and I'm surprised if things are done right and everything proceeds without being completely the opposite of what was initially promised or claimed. What a sad indictment though (except that I don't get emotional about these things, and therefore don't have any view on it being "sad" or "happy").

The whole rest of the world's resistance to change eh.:rotfl:
