I thought for a moment there that "they got me with the "Secret Smile"" was a new code word ... :).

There was a time when I would have been peeved but accepted my lot, not now, I bought a reduced price one and will be returning the higher priced one for a refund  The receipt says they offer a no quibble refund policy for 60 days

Don't forget you can take either of them back with the expensive receipt :D
    Morning All

If anyone has any present suggestions for the rather specific category of 'Retired fathers who are grumpy gits, have no hobbies, and say they don't want/need anything, but would secretly be disappointed if they don't get to unwrap anything, oh, and I also need to be able to carry it on a plane so nothing too heavy/flammable/etc.' :wall:

If I don't come up with something soon I'll be wrapping a cardboard box with a note inside saying 'well, you said you didnt want anything' :rotfl:

How about nice expensive cotton handkerchiefs?

My CC last night was a bit of a problem. I had a bottle of vodka at £14 which I refused (wrong brand subbed) - this took my balance down to zero as all the rest had been paid for with e vouchers. Then they subbed 5 of my Udis with chocolate croissants with a very short date - these were useless so I rejected those as well. I pointed out that this would mean they owed me about £20 and they assured me this would be OK and that the credit would go on my credit card but that I should keep an eye on my card and contact them if it went wrong.

When I got home I discovered that I only had one sanex plus the impulse - when I checked the receipt they had only charged me for one sanex so I ended up paying full price for both items with not even the 3 for £5 offer. Can't think what they were playing at as they could have put any of the other sanex in if they didn't have 2 of the kids ones. I was going to take those back to the store.

Do you reckon I will actually get the refund for the vodka and the subs - I don't want to phone them and draw attention but £20 loss due to wrong subs would be a bit of a blow.

    Good morning :)

No frost this morning. Im trying to get out early and might manage it if the kids hurry up. Have a Ts order arriving later and need to try and get back in time for it.
    Have a good day all.
