Can I safely reject this plus the Sanex on my afternoon CC ? It will possibly bring me below the 8 item thing if I do reject. Advice would be much appreciated.Evangeline1971 wrote: »I don't think it makes any difference if you reject, the comparison will still see what you originally ordered.
Hi tbw. Yes, you can reject part of the order. As Evang says, it won't affect your online APG.Tiger

tigerwhite wrote: »Aaah, why don't you have a chat with your boyf and see about doing one Xmas at your home, alternate between the three each year? There does come a time when you do have to say you are staying put and creating your own traditions. For me, it was 5 years ago when my son was born. But those previous years aged 18-31 were spent ferrying between mine and hubby's family.
ThanksI really do think about it.... but our families hate it enough they are on a two year schedule, let alone a 3! And my boyfriend wouldn't go for it (he always likes to remind me that before we were together he 'always' spent Christmas with his family, as if that gives his family Christmas special priority!).
I guess I am ready to move on to the stage of being our own family and having our own traditions and he isn't.
It might be different if/when we have our own kids, but given that we are going to be 'late starters' on that front, its hard to wait for that.
Maybe next year I will suggest we do a more 'traditional' Christmas dinner, but not on actual Christmas.0 -
Thanks for the info re the impulse. Added it in first then took it out.0

This is from a couple years ago. I haven't put it up yet this year, I'll do it later if I have time otherwise it will be weekend. I have more decorations than this photo now so will post an updated picture when it's done
I know some people prefer fewer decorations so it may not be to everyone's taste but I love itShortfatscotsbloke wrote: »Au contraire Bexter, au contraire.
Thanks for all the posting this morning Evangeline, it has been a great help. I have just been to A and bought 8 packs of the cookies you mentioned earlier (well, a few more than that really..:D)
Although the sel was for £1.99 each, I had them price checked at 2 for £1.50
I bought four of each type in one transaction and paid £6 in total plus 70p for the obligatory 7 x 10p sweets. If things go to plan I hope to get a return of £8.72 A v M on a £6 spend on the biccies, so a £2.72 profit. There is the backup of A v S if things don't go to plan.
Results in about two and a half hours..:D
And here's the receipt..
OO, sounds great ! Between ya, looks like you've done fab! Fingers crossed! X0 -

then how about inviting his family to you next year? That way, he can still see them, you can have your xmas how you want it (i.e no microwaved dinners in front of the tv;)) and your in law's will prob jump at the chance of someone else dealing with the food etc.. Your house, your (new) christmas rulesTiger

Anyone else think SFSB deserves some kind of badge for 'services to the elite'?
Sorry to hear of Christmas worries. I'm one of the lucky ones. Me, my sis, her boyfriend and my parents altogether until the evening when they're going to his parents. We do have wonderful traditional Christmases which I am so thankful for. This year I've picked us up Home Alone THE BOARD GAME. We used to play it when we were younger and I found it in a charity shop a few weeks ago. My sister's boyfriend says he loves our Christmases because we do it properly whereas his parents don't really bother all that much
Then again, whose life is perfect? This year I'll be watching out for my Dad's temper and my Mum's drinkingDebt free 6th December 2014
