I know myself and many others here have great stashes and the ability to get a little something for nothing. The food banks can't take frozen stuff or anything that needs refrigerating and that's a shame (they would be full of pizzas).
What will everyone give this year? I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around and love to do a good turn when I can.
In my food bank box there will be udis, lots of peas/spaghetti/tomatoes/noodles/carrots fillers, baby food jars, pasta and prawn crackers. :T
So trueI have had my fair share of help, not financial or by means of receiving things but more of a support sort of help.
It pays forward and makes you think. I can help others who might not be in my situation but might need help of a different sort. I have had the help of charities that don't neccesarily deal in helping people who are short of money or food. Charity takes all forms and all sorts of people need it. Rich or poor. I love it that so many charities are supported here0 -

I dropped off stuff this morning with advent calendars and other treats in. It really is a shame they don't take frozen stuff! But I have a feeling the bigger ones will start to. Which is obviously both a good and bad thing
Evening all! Not long off the phone to the States (eurgh) so I'm going to send the email tomorrow morning. We're at over 70 names which is just lovely :A
Big congrats Mrs S  (non-alcoholic beers obviously)Debt free 6th December 2014

P.S if anyone can spare any time around the Christmas period, Crisis and other homeless charities are always in need of volunteers. I'm gonna be a part of the warehouse crew for Crisis this year *raises little biceps of steel* There are also parties you can throw to benefit Crisis ( other charities are available) if you'd like to do something from home.
G'night you lot xDebt free 6th December 2014

Just trying to catch up as I have been at the doctors and hospital for most of the day with o/h.
He had a fall Thursday evening and hurt his side, but was not too bad until yesterday, when the pain became really severe.
He has a fractured rib and a small pleural effusion. They were going to keep him in, until he told them that I used to be a cardio-thoracic nurse, so they said that I would be able to look after him at home and I would know if any complications developed!
Would him going slightly doo-lally with the morphine, be classed as a complication?:rotfl:
Anyhow, before I do some more catching up, EMMAP please add me to your list.
FC, if you fancy a coffee in T. or A. sometime this week, let me know. xxxN1LDA:D0 -
EMMAP Im glad you have had a good night. Im very touched by your campaign about the phantom reporter as well and the backing you've had. Can I just say though
.......we are one thread in amongst hundreds on here! don't know if you look at the other threads but they are rife with nasty stuff. Try the benefits thread for size  we are generally one of the nicer threads on here
I am truly touched by your sentiment but am a bit:o at a campaign on my behalf. I really am. But I am just one person who posts out of thousands every day......and im big enough to get over it
