How about creating an Excel doc yourself, then you get what you really need.
I use 4 separate on 1 doc :-
1. Annual budget for planning purposes
2. Cash flow for annual, 1/2 yearly & 1/4ly costs
3. Daily input & monthly reconciliation
4. Monthly savings planner subdivided into separate named accounts linked to yearly, 1/2 yearly & 1/4ly accountsDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -
I 't think anything comes close to MSMoney(maybe Qucken) for fully featured financial tracking.
From budgeting(making plans), tracking account and categories, reporting, and forecasting. all built-in and easy to use.
it is past end of life but works if you don't mind the lack of integration with smartphones.
(I find manual data entry helps understand your spend patterns, the regular stuff can be automated anyway)
For Mac uses might be worth trying under an emulator.
Most of the other tools seem to fail on the split transaction support.
if you want integrated account and category management with tracking reporting you need to be able to do split transactions, where a single entry on a bank account or CC can have multiple categories of spends and payees.
eg. I might do a Tesco shop, with food, booze, two different phone top up, I get clubcard points and pay the bill on a credit card with cash back.
MSMOney can do that with a single entry on the CC, that automatically fill in the categories with their relevant information adds the points to the clubcard and tracks the cash back.0 -
Have a look at MoneyManagerEx0

Why do you not look at Bank Genie Pro this is the most versitile financial software I have seen and which I have been using regularly
Best in Industry customer care if the pretty comprehensive functionality does not quite have what you need0 -

Odd you sign up and suggest a software that looks poor and not updated in 20 years0 -
I use Ace Money Lite - another freebie.
Can be setup to give the reports you're looking for, and has worked extremely well for me both in the past and ongoing.
Only limitation with the free version is it is restricted to two accounts.PLEASE NOTE:

That wouldn't work for most here! 2 accounts? I've got 10 times that!0 -
I run Microsoft Money in Ubuntu Linux under Wine. I haven't yet installed it on a Mac, but I'm pretty sure it would work with a good emulator.0

I am a very happy Bank Genie Pro user and I am sure it is not 20 years old. In fact there is a new version being produced. I like the reports one can produce and export to Excel. I used Quicken before which has a colourful interface, yet I can do so much more with BGP.
Just my opinion.0
