I don't know give his details to the police I think is the only thing they could do but they gave me an email for that so I will pass it along.

If they are calling your landline withheld number, get one of these. We have one, and it can block withheld numbers (also specific numbers, if they deiced to withhold their number).

Thinking outside the box, but why not just post it back to save the aggro? It'll cost £2.34 with Hermes, not worth all the faffing.

Every time they phone don't hang up, just put the phone down on the side. They will soon get fed up when they see their phone bill.

Like others have said, tell him its with the police and that they will add harassment to any charges if he continues to call. Say you will record any conversations as well which will add to their evidence and will likely result in him having a criminal conviction. Worth a shot

The only other option is changing your number completely.

They are in China so they really won't give a hoot! They know they are completely untouchable. The only thing they worry about is their money and that's the way to get at them.

I said that it was now with the police and if they phone again further action will be taken. But I don't think they will stop and I don't think they can speak English. I don't want to give into these people and I really don't want to be fined if the police find out I shipped a fake phone =(.

You really are making a mountain out of a mole hill. The UK authorities can't touch them and they know that. Throw the phone away and just hang up if they ring. If that is too much of an inconvenience then do as I said above so it costs them money. Seriously, it's really not a big deal! Lesson learnt, move on.
