Plusnet Long term customer?

Hi been with 'Plusnet' for many yrs now & just wondered before I contact them if any one had 'haggled' a better deal like 'plusnet newbies ' receive within the first yr?

Any tips of what to say maybe?

Must say I am extremely happy with the service & the customer service has always been helpfu & efficient

You will be able to get a good deal if you are out of contract. Just ask for your MAC code. That usually makes them notice you:cool:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have had quite a few problems with PN recently - I too was a long time customer -https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5112981

When I rang up about moving they asked me the cheapest I could find elsewhere, and offered to match it - from memory I think it was £2.49 pm for BB for a year. However, they wanted me to sign up for 24 months again, and given the way they have messed me around I declined.

The other way to save money is to pay your line rental up front.

Do not be surprised if they increase the charges during your contract period even if they say they wont. And don't be surprised if you don't get the deal you think you are.

And don't be surprised if you don't get a straight answer when you raise a ticket!
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Hi I've always paid the line rental up front, but guess I've been lucky with the customer service.

    Thx

@joe2cool - phone their Customer Options team on 0330 123 9197 - shouldn't be a problem to negotiate a decent retention deal - as you are a PN phone customer the call should be free -just check your bill after,as one or two people (including me!!) have been charged for the call!!

I am with PM, customer service is something you should take into account and as you said no problem so far.
I call every year to renegotiate my contract regardless of how long it is, the deal braker is tell them that other companies will pay the disconnection fee for you so it's a level playing field.
They are always keen to give good deal, this time round I agreed a two years fixed price of £4.5/month unlimited bb plus wend/evening calls plus line rental.

No need to use the 0300 number as you can contact them at 0800 4320200.

Negotiate harder - I got them down well below £1 for unlimited BB and evening+weekend calls, but still left them for a cheaper deal elsewhere.
