Spent £4.50 this morning on some veg.
2 Mahoosive parsnips, a leek, 2kg of oranges and a ginormous cauliflower.
Have turned 1 of the parsnips into some parsnip fries, and the 2nd one will be used for spicy parsnip soup if I can find a decent recipe.0 -
I'm applying some tricks to make me NOT go food shopping, lol. It's CPD training day today and I made a packed lunch AND am offering a lift to someone who will want to get back to her family. So hopefully NSD today, as was yesterday. If I manage to ignore the Approved Foods tempation I won't spend before Tuesday.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Can you put me down for £350 this month please
My normal £200 plus my copper jar that has been saved all year and my nectar points that have been saved as well.
That is for 2 adults and 2 teens for all food, toiletries and cleaning.
I grabbed a few bits yesterday and need to shop today as we are out of a lot of things. I'll update my signature later, I'm off to catch up on the thread£36/£240

Could you please put me down for £450. This is for family of 5 adults. I am hoping to be able to stick to this total including family get-together the Monday before Christmas ... total of 10 adults. I am budgeting approx £50 of this total to that. I will be making chicken curry, spag bol, chilli, and a roast chicken with some veg etc for one person who is gluten intolerant. Rice, pasta and salad.
Home made mince pies and pavlova. Soft drinks and wine also to be included. Really up for the challenge to do all this for £50 but I think it is more than possible. Any leftovers will be ate by us lot the following day
So hoping for nsd today. Chicken curry rice and nann bread. Making it in the slow cooker for the first time so should be a very smelly curry house for the rest of the day.
Good luck to all.0 -
Happy St. Andrews Day everyone Going xmas shopping today  but I am determined to have a NSD (I'm not counting xmas pressies as a spend coz it's already budgeted for) HM spaghetti bolognese for dinner with MF mince. Not sure how DH and DS2 will take it but I won't tell them and see if they notice:whistle:Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁
