Could you please put me down for £123 for December?

    AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE   £115.93/ £250

  • ended up spending more than planned at Aldi but the new store is fantastic and had some great prices so I did the majority of next weeks shopping as well - we will just need chocolate spread which I've only just realised I forgot :( it also included tea bags, biscuits, squash and jelly babies for my draw at work!

    So: £23.49 spent in Aldi

Also they had no wholemeal wraps, celery or fromage frais in Aldi so nipped to Mr M and spent £2.48 in there

So we should only need milk next week really :)

  • Have done a online Mr T due to be delivered on Sunday so provisional spend of £101.10. I have taken the remaining £50 out to stick in my purse for top ups and f&v during the month.

Anything that is still remaining after the month is done shall be put into a sealed pot.
That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

  • Big shopping day today. This morning I bought my fruit and veg for the week plus some items needed for meals this week spent £22.66 but got £10 off with my vouchers from the paper :) Was really pleased to be able to get my cranberries for the chutney (Christmas presents) out of the vouchers and they were 2 for £3 plus bought some clementines with the voucher which were BOGOF :D

This afternoon I did some Christmas shopping - yay! But then on the way to pick up some more food (couldn't carry it all this morning) I got a flat tire on the pushchair :( So DH will have to fix that tonight ready for tomorrow's baking and chutney making shopping.

Total spend so far, including meat for month is

    28/11 £46.82 (meat) £12.66 and £6.31

Christmas shopping 95% done too, just need to make my chutney and jam for gifts.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
Today I spent £3.65. I had a 60 points coupon for buying 12 eggs. Normally I'd only get 6 at a time but the extra points get me closer to the free money threshhold (I always spend my nectar points in store, but save up my Tesco ones for days out etc)
I also had a brand match coupon which I found! £2 odd. So in the end I managed to buy cheese, onions, tomatoes, bread rolls & potatoes, plus the eggs for the spend mentioned above. I am using the ingredients to make home made burgers, using up the last of the YS mince haul I got last week.
All meals planned & mostly made for tommorow already so fairly confident of a NSD saturday.
    Have a lovely weekend all.

    I liked that

I'm still in November as my month runs from the first to the last day of each month - I would get confused otherwise and it happens often :rotfl:

I am reverting to my usual
budget of £200 please for December.
I have my Morry's savings of £51 and some left in my bulk buy. I might even have a few pennies left from November :j

Hope you all have a super savvy Saturday

Did a big shop at Morrisons yesterday which came to £63.72.

Today I am off to the layby down the road, the local farmer parks up there every Saturday morning and sells a variety of fruit, veg and eggs.
I want to pick up some potatoes and other bits.
Then off to the butcher, if I have time. I hate how busy they are on Saturdays and their shop id quite small so I cant see everything. So maybe I'll leave that until Monday.

I think it was CountingPennies who said last month that she was going to take her GC budget out of the bank in cash. I think I might do that too, and then leave my bank cards in a drawer at home for the month so that I cant spend extra.
    Does anyone else do this?

Will no doubt spend some money at the school Christmas fair this morning too.
  • First December shop just arrived. £41.87 I have updated signature.
Now I really need to meal plan, have loads of meat in freezer, loads of batch cooked stuff, so why do I not get it our? Makes me so cross.

Anyway done ironing, done lots of lists, beginning, make a list of things to do! 6 men coming in for lunch in an hour and a half and kitchen is disgusting. So probably kitchen should be first on list. Also got nothing ready to feed them on, maybe I should defrost something from freezer?
