Productive and money saving day today - :money:
Froze some mince pies.
Grated and froze some cheese (we have loads)
Turned 9 finger rolls into bread crumbs and froze (don’t like frozen bread)
Froze some pork gravy that was left over
Divided the remaining pork up and shredded half then froze - intend to make crispy fried pork at a later date.
Remaining pork was turned into a pork curry also using up a wrinkly apple, few green beans, some spices and half at tin of creamed mushrooms in place of some cream which I would have had to go and buy.
Oh and a NSD as well.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Wishing you all a very Happy NEW YEAR! See you tomorrow in January 2015 !
£ 30 over budget but I know what I did - have meat from the local farm instead of the supermarket and fall for an Approved Food free delivery code. A new month and year to do better!First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -

Well here's my last post for the Grocery thread 2014.
$178.33 / $300.00
I came in well under the December budget due to doing some batch cooking just before 28th November. Really hoping to make what I have in the freezers last until 19th January when I'll have another batch cooking session.
I've already signed up for the January 2015 thread so hope to see you all over there.
All the best for the New Year.0 -
Hello
I went about £20 over this month which isn't too bad really as it got very raggedy towards the end... but I do have a lot of stuff in to add to January.
Hope everybody had a good Christmas and Happy New Year!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Well in the end I over spent. £380/£350 but I'm quite happy with that. It included a big meat order, that will last 2 months, and December was a 5 monday month, and I do the weekly shop on a Friday, and I had based my target on 4 weekly shops.
Was good to have a budget though, as it made me think more about what I was spending. Off to find the January grocery challenge thread nowZebras rock0 -
We ended up having to do a couple of small shops right at the end of the month but still just managed to stay within my target, with a whole 95p to spare!
Onwards and upwards for January!
Jan GC - £25/£230
Dec GC - £239.05/£2400
