Hi everybody,
Just a couple of small purchases from the charity shop again, cost $2.50

Hello everyone
I am really pleased that I have decided to withdraw my GC budget money at the start of the month. Its already making a difference and I am more reluctant to spend money when it's 'real' if that makes any sense?
I still have £140 left for the month, which is more than enough (I hope).0 -
Any woman here with a DH who can be trusted with a food budget, put your hand up! I bet there aren't many!
Haha, I think there must be a role reversal going on in my relationship as I'm the one who is very careful with food shopping and good at planning , whereas if I ask Lady Planky to pick up some milk she invariably comes back with a couple of bags of random bits and bobs!Jan GC - £25/£230
Dec GC - £239.05/£2400 -
Read a post about using nectar card and decided to sort mine out, I found in in a tin together with £10 Morrison voucher and several asda gift cards. Checked the nectar card and have 15.00 the asda cards have small amounts adding up to 6.00. Totalling 31.00. Will use up and that should see me through til January.Slimming World at target0

Cribbed todays entry from my Small things thread so apols for duplicating for anyone reading there.
On my way home stopped into Tesco. The YS gods were kind. Got 3 packets of crumpets for 20p each from 60p. Pack of croissants for 46p from £1.86. Donuts for 26p from £1. Luxury coleslaw for 30p from £1.21, a sliced white loaf for 19p from 75p, a lovely seeded loaf for 26p from £1.30, a double cream for 32p & the absolute best was two large portions of Tesco finest Paella for £1.01 each from £4.05 each. Total cost to me £4.71 instead of £17.02 or £12.31 saving. Well to be honest I would never buy those paellas full price as I would cook from scratch over microwave meals, but I am not turning my nose up at a night off for that cheap.
I also purchased 2 marked down milks in Sains, but I used money from tips to buy that so I am not counting it as that is free money." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Caterina -I hear you. It is so hard not to be a total control freak I find. We are on a tight budget. We have climbed out of a sizable overdraft in the last 3 months by a lot of what you see me writing on here. My OH is totally on board in principle. He takes packed lunch every day etc. But its the little things. One night I asked him to grab a loaf on the way home. Normally I'd go out & go bargain hunting, but I felt really worn out. But I knew it would result in overspening. Of course what happens, he draws out a £10er, spends the £1.50 on bread & claims the rest for his coffee fund. Which admittedly he gets few & far between of, but I would never draw out £10 just for a loaf, I'd pay on my card. End of. It is hard sometimes when you are thinking of the big picture, in your case the fact the kitchen has skinted you out, in ours the fact that I simply never want to live in a £1,000 overdraft with no idea whats going on each month again! So there you go. Rant heard." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Total spend today £23.32. Would have been a lot less than that but DH forgot to take the mince for the chilli out of the freezer so when we went to tesc* he decided he wanted pizza .Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

Another grocery NSD clocked up today.
Did spend money on getting my boots repaired but needs must.
I didn't use the bolognese mixture tonight as there was only me and DD2 for tea. We had a snacky tea from stuff already in. I have a portion of the bolognese for lunch tomorrow, the rest is frozen in two batches. Might make a lasagne at the weekend.
My nice DS has just bought me some coffee pods to use in the machine at work - enough to do me for a few weeks I would say. :T0
