    Unfortunately I've checked my television and it doesn't have a USB port so that way isn't open to me and I have no fancy gadgets. I do now know what an external hard drive looks like so that is a step forward. If I do it using one then I would have to buy a 16GB USB to download from the box and then transfer it via my computer onto an external hard drive to store. When I have time I will attempt to download a short programme and see how I get on.

    Debitcardmayhem if I'm understanding you correctly are you saying I can download onto a USB stick and when I want to watch the programme I can just connect it to the Humax box. I am probably completely misunderstanding you as I am betting it is not that straightforward.

    Simple as that

    If you want to use an external Hard Disk .... I will check what the power output is for the Foxsat USB.....it is only 500mA (I use a USB HDD that is powered) so make sure that you get a USB HDD that will work within 500mA
