Looking for a loop hole!

I entered in to a contract with Virgin media for one year in May 2007. I live in rented accomodation and my land lord recently sold the flat and I now have one month to find somewhere to live. My problem is that Virgin media have told me that if I cancel the contract I have to pay for the remainder of the year. Therefore, my options of where I move are limited because you can not have two accounts with Virgin at the same address. Is there anyway I can get round this? Is there a loop hole anywhere? Can anyone adice me?

Can they not class you as a home mover & just carry on the service at the new property? Either with the cable service or the adsl service?0

They said that they can not have more than one account at one address.0

Yeah i know that but what im saying is just move your CURRENT account and carry on that contract at the new property0

Not if there is someone living there who already has Virgin. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are saying0

Find somewhere new to live, and move your account to that new place.
If your moving back in with a relative who has virgin, then indeed you won't be able to...
But if you're moving into your own place and you won't be sharing with someone who already has virgin, then you can use your own account and just move it
It really depends on where youre going next![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Most BB companies waiver charges if you are moving abroad (because they are unable to provide service there). You may want to tell them that you are moving to Spain or something, find out if they will waiver the term and when you are relocated you can simply call back up and start all over again.0

- but if you have already said that your landlord is (more or less) kicking you out ... they may have made a note of this on your customer record0

The customer is always right (well some of the time). In my experience if you state what you are doing and they know that you have contradicted yourself then the advisor you speak to will not be in a position to question you around this.
Anyway people change plans all the time. Just tell them that you have been offered a job on a cruise ship for 2 years.0 -

Hi Ambermichelle,
Have you chatted with Virgin to find out what their moving home policy is? You may find that they'll transfer your services to a new line (for a small charge) and you can complete your 12 month contract at the new property.
I'd be very suprised if they didn't allow you to do this.
