Those are great totals, Steve - and considering this is all immediately after Christmas, then they're *brilliant* :)

    Thanks KC,

Sorry for the delayed reply, im such a busy bee at the moment.

Yeah im dead chuffed with that result. Im not sure its going to be that good every month, but will be doing my best.

Im being pretty slack at the moment in regards extra earnings, largely through A. lack of spare time, and B. lethargy.
Im still chipping in the odd matched bet, but most of any overpayment at the moment will largely come from money not spent, which is why im not posting so much.

However, getting DH back on ebai will certainly move things along. I have a right load of tools in the garage, which it turns out are quite valuable. If i can get them gone that gives us a double benifit of more money, and more space in the garage/dump.

In other news, we are looking at private schools for DS. Not very money saving i grant you, but im thinking long term investment :)

Turns out DS is a bit bright, and coupled with the fact that we are no longer in a catchment area for a highschool, has sort of pushed us to look at other options.

DS is a year 5 atm, which potentially leaves us over a year to finalise a decission, however, 1 of our choices (the prefered one) operates a primary/middle/high school system, so we may end up sending him this summer. Which will effectively end.....eating....not really, but it will throw a damp squib on the mortgage free dream.

Oh the joys. And the !!!!!! is already talking about becoming an anaesthetist (i had to google the spelling), and has been for 2 years(he 9). which means 6th form, uni and med school to pay for. Still, its only another 18 years of paying for him.

Will keep the school situation updated.

    Hi all.

    Little update on recent happenings.

No progress on school. DS has been ill for a few days, so not much has happened on the school front. However, we are planning come visits as the schools have open days to come and look around. Also we have found a tutor to start work with DS, as there is some stuff on the entrance exams which is not taught as part of the national curriculum.
Debt wise, I rather sadly parted company with my air rifle. Sad to say, as spending the afternoon at my local range was a rather favoured hobby of mine. However, if im being honest, I have not had the time to do it on a regular basis for quite a while, and the rifle was being wasted sat waiting for me. So that will be £630 in the bank on Tuesday, then straight off FDCC. That will take them below £3000 this month. yay me.

Fingers crossed, company pay negotiations start this or next month, depending I guess on calendars. While im not expecting miracles, anything is better in my pocket than theirs. Assuming we get something, it will be the usual pay rise shuffle. 33% to AVC, 33% to clear a debt of my choosing (bank of mum and dad this time), and we will just add the rest to the general pot.

Other than that, all quiet. No match betting for a week or two, as their seems to be a big round of gubbings at the moment. I lost my Sky weekly bonus, which was annoying, as I had only done it 4 or 5 times. Keeping a low profile for a few weeks n hope of maintaining some of my preferred accounts.

    Hope your all well.

Thats a big chunk of cash for selling the air rifle - must havebeen a really high spec one, I can understand its hard to give that up - but I'm sure you're right, with looking at private school for DS, you need to hammer the debt. Good luck!

    Hi KC.

Yeah i will miss it. Target shooting at the range is one of the best ways i found to relax. Its very focused whiile your shooting, and i have had many of my better "light bulb" moments there.

    But, needs must and all.

Thanks for the response, and support.
