Katiecat big hugs sweetie, you will survive this and we will help you, be kind to yourself as you take time to slowly adjust to a different life.

Aww katiecat I'm so sorry, what a horrid day. Be very gentle on yourself, just take things one day at a time, or one hour at a time. I hope peace finds its way to your heart very soon xxBossymoo

What a kind thought, Frodders - I'd love to see your poppy photos. They'd be so different from the published ones, because they'd be yours. When OH and I were discussing cancelling the visit I realised that one of the reasons I didn't mind 'missing' it as much as I thought I would was that the published photos in all the newspapers have been so fantastic. As I get older I find it less and less important to actually see things in the flesh, so to speak. I've had a lovely summer watching the progress of the installation through the media and only found out after the installation that the two tumbling structures were actually made here, in Plymouth, at the Theatre Royal's workshops! (It's a brilliant facility.)
Huge (((hugs))) KatieCat. We're all rooting for you and your little Staffie. If your OH left a jumper or a sock, she could have that for her basket which would help her if she's missing him, and a couple of extra little walks a day just round the block would perk her up no end.
Three lodgers ensconced, house sort of straight. I have made eight quiche cases from slightly out of date butter and the tail end of a bag of flour people have left behind. I'll bake the fillings tomorrow after a dental appointment involving Temazepam, needles and drilling. *shudder*Better is good enough.0 -
Just posting quickly so I can see whats left. Sorry I've not caught up on the thread so:
Hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes to all!
In addition to the list I've also cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed right through (took advantage of DD dealing with a largish spider upstairs to run the vacuum over the rest of the house this evening), washed and replaced all the throws in the livingroom, cleared the shredding pile and spent about 4 hours ironing. Just got the ironing finished at 4.45pm and DD called to say a friend had fallen asleep on the bus and was panicking as she didn't recognise where she was and it was dark so could I walk said friend home. Good job I had decided to get dressed before doing jobs today as they were here in a matter of minutes and the poor girl was in tears.
I knew where she was going and she chatted to me and DD all the way to her house, so I did end up going out after all :rotfl:

For a check-up I won't pull her out of school but completely forgot to book one in for half term!)
