Katiecat so sorry to hear you've having such a rough time of it right now x

LameWolf & Busygran hope you both recover soon and aren't in too much pain x

Done everything from yesterday's list that I set out to do apart from clean the hob. It'll be good to tackle the downstairs toilet (definitely the room of doom) so will have a go at that after I've walked Whiz. Therapist told me having a plan is good so tend to unload DW/sort WM before school run, drop S off to school (Z now at seniors and gets the bus), walk Whiz, housework and then try to keep pm reasonably free for me. Sounds good in theory doesn't it!

    Morning Flysisters!

We had a very interesting Old Wives meeting last night, looking at our family connections with WW1. Several people brought family heirlooms and told the stories as they had been passed down by previous generations - most moving. And one member who has 'not been talking' to some of the others for months seemed to have forgotten whatever the grudge was, and all was back to how it should be in such a small group: we're only a baker's dozen when everyone manages to get to the meeting, which doesn't happen often.

Apart from that, it was mostly another washout day here - not so much re the weather but more to do with what I achieved (or rather, didn't). I will just have to draw a line under that and start again today.

My list should be doable, provided that I don't crash out this afternoon, and it's dry and sort-of sunny so I should be able to kick DH outside to get on with his garden railway after lunch!

    Thank you lynnejk :)

Well, I've taken my 19 year old to work :D strange to think that I was 19 when I had her.
Tbh I think DD1 is feeling a bit fed up. She got a message yesterday from my mum to say two of her great aunts (my mum's sisters) had forgot it was her birthday  Strange when she shares it with their auntie who they loved so much.
We're waiting to see if she gets a card from DD2's dad (her own biological has nothing to to with her) but as he never bothered with DD2 in September we're doubting it but she's going to feel very uncomfortable if she does get one.
The Grandparents (both sides) will be expecting her to go running round there this evening (noone ever comes to our house) but she won't be in from work 'til about 6 so I doubt that'll be happening. We're all a bit fed up of having to run around for everyone else.

I'm going to finish my coffee, then start catching up on odd jobs around the house.

    Monday - kitchen and hallway
    15 minutes...
    Got 30 minutes...
    [STRIKE]Sweep and[/STRIKE] mop the floor

Tueday - Rooms of Doom (that'll be Dining Rooms then ) and downstairs loos
    15 minutes...
Clean the toilet and sink including the pedastalls
    Shine the mirror or window
    Got 30 minutes...
Spend the entire HH tidying up, putting away, finding homes for whatever is making this room a mess - make sure you find the table
    An hour to spare...
Wipe the table you have just found
Hoover any floor you can now see
If a surface is clear, wipe it and try this week to keep it clear
Do 15 minutes more tidying if you have time.
    Extras
Mid month check of bank accounts
[STRIKE]Do you need to submit gas/elec readings?
    Recycle some paper/magazines etc
Are car and home insurance current?
    [/STRIKE]

  • Happy birthday to your DD Wendywitch.

Need to get off my backside and get something DONE! Starting with the washing - I foolishly put some on the line yesterday so that needs rinsing and spinning too...

    Happy birthday WW DD x

I'm struggling a bit with low mood today. Just had to listen to two of the mums at school about how they couldn't cope on their own and how hubby does this that and the other. Made my excuses and came home for a cry instead :(

So I'm going to take my frustration out on the dust bunnies. Vac at the ready.

On the plus side, my mum has just been given a placement of a young mum and her 4 day old baby. So I might get a tiny cuddle later this week - unless they are too busy.

Right WM just finished ("mum, my beds wet") so I'll go get that in the airing cupboard then I'm on with those dusties...

katie hugs, we are here for you to off load / rant if you need to.

Bossy hugs to you too. xx

Well green bin has reappeared along with an 8 year old child and his mum :) it seems it is the 8 year old and his brothers job to get their bin each week, so it being dark, last week both children got a bin in each :) but didn't notice that they now had 2 bins. :rotfl::rotfl:

I thought the 8 year old was going to burst into tears when he was apologising, for taking it, and his mother was really hard verbally on him.
!!!!!! it is only a bin, no harm has been done.

    To do
    Post office
    Bank
    Ironing
    Wrap and LABEL some presents

(((Katiecat))) I can't put it better than dusty

Hugs also to all those flyladies who are having a rough time at the moment.

Taking DS2 for coffee at favourite French cafe later, and a bit of shopping in town before picking up DD from preschool - she was offered two mornings fully paid where she was on placement, just while it fits in with her uni timetable.

Sunshine here, so may find time to do a little bit in garden, still taking it easy today.

Bossy sending you gentle hugs sweetheart x

Happy Birthday to Wendywitch's DD! I think sometimes we can time ourselves up in knots about family and expected to make all the effort and it's hard.

Just having a cuppa and then off to a get together at church. Will have to do my housework this afternoon. Had a really lovely walk with Whiz and feel better for it.
