    Kitchen Done!
Cloakroom Done, substituted for hall, as I will do this tomorrow.

Quite surprised how exhausted I was after Saturday's training event which I was helping run. It was hugely successful, and we are feeling quite pleased with ourselves! I spent most of yesterday on the sofa, except for cooking Sunday lunch, and plan to do the same this afternoon.

HB oh, poor Mrs Dog; I did a search on demyelination, that sounds just awful for her. I guess the only "good" part of it is that she has you to care for her.

CY I agree about families, especially my brother and sister, not seem either for years, however my sister did ring me the other week, the first time in 5 years I had spoken to her....................I personally feel better off with out having them in my life, they know where I am, / I know where they are........that to me is enough, but I to RELISE lots of you love your familes to bits.
I confess to sometimes feeling envious of the folks who are close to their families; but there's no use wishing, and my lot were just about as dysfunctional as it's possible to be, and I really am far better off without them.
"Friends are the family you choose for yourself" - and that, I'm afraid, means you lot! FlySisters, perhaps?:D

Started out this week full of good intentions; all the "two-wolf" tasks got done at the weekend. I decided to leave vacuuming til Jessie went home so that I wouldn't have to do it twice. She was picked up this morning, I duly got the Dys0n out - and took a fall.:( Dratted left knee went from under me. I injured it in a car crash in 1990, and it's been very dodgy ever since. I'm a tad shaken up, and wrenched my ankle, so I'd probably best take it steady for the rest of today.

Mr LW has tomorrow off work (annual leave) - he's got that AAA scan I mentioned a while ago; I shall go along with him and wait in the car - the clinic he's got to go to is in a bit of a rough area, and we want to still have wheels on the car when he comes out!! After that he needs to get a haircut, and we need to visit the market as I delayed the F&V run this week to save going into town twice. Then in the evening we're attending the Glyndebourne production of Mozart's "La Finta Giardiniera" at MK Theatre.

So Flying tomorrow will likely be minimal.

Finally home! Took my mum to her appointment, she had her hearing checked as well. We nipped into B00ts for some burn plasters for her. She has a little burn on her wrist (off the casserole dish), it's not bad but it rubs on her cuff.
We picked up the books DD1 wants for her birthday (Tomorrow!) Certain stories about a grey man with a tie ;)
Bumped into my mum's cousin and her daughter so had a chat with them. Don't think we've seen them since last Christmas :o
Then took my mobile back to the phone shop, it's been sent away again :(
Got home to realise I forgot to get DD1's birthday cards so have to go back out once DD2 is home from school.
Going to have a quick coffee before deciding what to do next :)

Healing vibes, Lamewolf. If you were closer to us, you'd be hosting Mrs Dog for our trip to London - Flysister - because I know you could cope with her illnesses, pills and need for gentle attention. (She gets very worried and overwhelmed by too much attention, though.) The only good thing about demyelination is that when her back legs go, it doesn't hurt her. (The arthritis in her spine does, though.)

Three loads through the WM and dangled; carpet scrap sprayed and rubbed as per instructions for stain removal test patch; bottom layer big dyy$oned, top layer small dy$oned; first of three guests in (sort of); tidying, tidying, tidying. Six of another 15 tasks off list accomplished.
    Better is good enough.

Popping in to update. I slept like a log until 10:30, and then have been playing with the baby and watching tv. I got us both lunch, and made 2 cushion covers (she 'helped', which slowed me down a bit!). So... not much has got done. I'm glad to cross the covers from my list though, and means I can pack up all the sewing stuff from my bedroom!

About to collect older DCs, and then drive them to the bike shop to see what size the oldest needs for his birthday...
  • Hi
Quick update - have done HH gardening - whilst the sn was shining and tipped a bagful including the cat poo into the council bin for litter and dog waste!

Been to Mr M as Vimto was on offer - silly me forgot to check if NAS Vimto was on the same offer - no way only full fat!!!
Came back with some bits I didn't go for but they are a bargain!
Just having a coffee then will do a little more!

That's sweet of you, HB; I wish I was in a position to dog-sit Mrs Dog.:o I'm sensitive to those who want attention on their own terms, too - when Lottie (cocker spaniel) first stayed, I was told she's scared of her own shadow, and to literally just ignore her til she felt able to approach me; within three hours, she was sitting with me on the sofa!:D

Slightly irrelevant fact: in the 5 years I've been doing dog-sitting, I've had 44 different dogs in my home!:rotfl:

I'm so cross with myself re the fall; I was vacuuming at the time, and as I went down, the vacuum caught the lead to the Wii sensor bar and snapped it.:( Luckily I've found a replacement on the site with the same name as the long river, for not much cash, (and I have vouchers available to use in any case) but we'll be without the Wii til it arrives. Even worse, Mr LW didn't even yell at me when I told him!:A:cool:
I'm going to work out a way to reposition it so that we don't have any trailing wires - I think I know how it can be done, now that we don't have a pc on my desk.
