I'm in - had a flying visit to Leicester for a fab birthday party on Friday. Really glad I went - had a great catch up with the cousins...
but ended up falling out with my sister. Families - who'd have them?
She ended up saying she was short of cash and would I buy drinks at the do if she bought the pub meal? But when we come to pay for the meal she doesn't have her bank card on her, she has her Costa card so I paid for that too. Fast forward to the morning after the night before when she bails on her promise to give me a lift to the station an hour before my train is due.... having drunk the contents of my purse....
Then on facebook yesterday she offered to repay mum for the taxi fare I'd had to borrow as her contribution. I was steaming. When I asked for a larger contribution (still less than half) she bleated that it was mean I wasn't buying her tea as she gives me lifts from the station to mum's when I'm down.
TBH I would have paid for her tea - but I would rather have been able to offer - it stuck in my throat that she expected it....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Just back from my walk/ banking and shopping combined. It looks as if it will pour down here shortly so glad I got it out of the way.

Having a quick break after doing almost all the dailies
I've tided up DD's bedroom, tided up my room and managed to fling 3 boxes of recycling out of there, cleaned the bathroom, de-moulded the bathroom although that's still soaking in the stuff with the window wide open to help disperse the smell, juggled the laundry so the 2nd load is in the WM, the TD is now on drying the sofa throws, and decluttered all but one of my programmes from the dvr but I'll be watching that at lunch time
Next job will be to sort out the recordings on there as I've decided not to record some things, then get on with the ironing while watching a film or something. I will have a productive day!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
One of next doors dogs hasn't stopped barking since I last posted  Either next doors mother is ignoring it (God knows how! ) or she's gone out. She NEVER goes out!! I think she may be agoraphobic, I've only ever seen her go out as far as the back garden to feed her chickens (in her pyjamas)
I've had a quick tidy of the front room, dumped the girls carp back in their pit.
Sorted out the cat litter, swept the front room floor and fed the animals.
Taken pills for earache (again)

(((((((Hugs))))))) Bossy, one for each day of this week.wendywitch wrote: »What do you ladies do to clean your washing machines? I don't really want to buy more chemicals unless I really have to.
I echo Pigpen's advice, but would add that on my machine I need to set the spin speed as low (ie, off if you can) as possible before running it empty.
We've cancelled our trip to London to see what was left of the poppies because Mrs Dog is just not going to cope with a dog sitter. She needs her routine and when she's worried she's seeking me out and pressing herself very close at the moment. Sadly, the demyelination (sp?) is taking its toll and she's now falling off and down stairs and shaking herself up quite badly. I can't add my going away to her stress.
(((Hugs))) CY.
I've got my own list that is as long as my arm but I quite fancy Dusty's for today as well, so that's me sorted for the rest of the day.Better is good enough.0 -
