    Towels washed

Been out to start my Christmas shopping, got 2 small things for DS3 and loads of things for myself. Oh well I'll start a list of the few things I've got and see where that takes me.

Just waiting for my headache to clear and then I'll do some hoovering.

Every posi-vibe I can muster for Bossy today. x

Not sure how to feel about the appointment last night - the physio was very nice, and has given me some exercises to try for damage limitation; but the bottom line is that the arthritis is causing ongoing damage (the scrunching that I said feels like bones grinding is exactly that) and basically, there's no cure, all we can do is, as I say, damage limitation.:( She did go a bit more into detail, but I'm not sure I took it all in really.

I guess my challenge is to find more alternative ways of doing tasks that will minimise the pressure on my hands - her comment that I should "take time out and watch tv" is a non-starter because I dislike tv intensely, and can only tolerate it if I'm doing something else at the same time.:D

The good news is that the replacement sensor bar for the Wii came today, so that's now up and running again; and I've managed to play Desk Tetris and get the console on the shelf where my printer used to be, so no more trailing wires.:o I spent a large amount of the morning poking about at the back of my desk on my hands and knees, but we're there now.:T
I've also bought some cheap earmuffs (using @mazon vouchers :money: ) so no more frozen ears while I'm dog-walking.:T

Need to crack on and do some housework now.
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.
  • Hello all

I had a wonderful time in Iceland and managed to see the northern lights. It was an amazing experience and they are beautiful. Iceland is expensive but the people are lovely and friendly. We did a golden circle day trip and went up into the mountains, a trip to the geo-thermic spa and a went exploring around Reykjavik. We packed a lot into 3 days.

I've spent the last few days catching up with myself as I'm off again this weekend for a meet up.

Last night I went for my second counselling session, as I've been struggling with the BD. (thank you Dusty for your kind offer of PMing you x) Thankfully it's helping, especially in regards as to what to do about my Dad.

I'm aiming to do a bit of flying all over the house tonight and need to clear my ironing basket. Also I need to pack for the weekend.

Bossy - thinking of you and the little moos xx

Apologies for not catching up with the rest of the thread. Hugs, spoons and sticks to all that need them.

    Deco x

Grass raked and leaves bagged up and put in back alley. I hope I did the right thing with the two year old bagged leaves - I've put them on a flower-type bed that's got bulbs, many lavendars, a climbing rose and a jasmine in it.

Hob and oven cleaned, and fridge defrosted among other busy doings.
    Better is good enough.

Welcome back, deco. It sounds like a wonderful holiday.
LW, I'm sorry the news from the physio-terrorist wasn't better. (I love that job title - my mother was one of them, and it's exactly right :rotfl: )
Dusty, flyladies are allowed to buy things for themselves, you know ;)
Hope you are able to share lots of happy memories today, Bossy, as well as remembering the sad times.

I must bake 2 coffee cakes this evening: it's DS1's birthday tomorrow, and DS2 will also appreciate a treat of his own (I've already made a fruit loaf for DDiL2). So I don't think I shall make it to choir practice tonight - but we'll see. I can't sing in the concert next weekend anyway because we have been invited to a one-off occasion which I really don't want to miss.

DH has spent some time out in the garden today, working on his railway. I have managed to make some progress with my work, also did WMx1 and dailies. We are going out for lunch tomorrow for our anniversary. DH is off to the NEC first thing on Saturday morning, so I shall have a few hours then in which to deliver DS1's cake and then fly unhindered before going to babysit DGS3 and deliver to DS2 and DDiL2.

For those who were concerned, pigpen has reappeared on FB today :)
