    Morning all

Not had a great night's sleep so today will be a bit ploddy, a plan is required:

    Iron a couple of shirts
    Walk with friend
    Small food shop
    Clean toilets and sinks
    File some Gov paperwork
    Check bank accounts

    That will do for starters.

Bossy, I think many people rely on others to such an extent that they never realise what they are actually capable of doing by themselves. And equally, many people who cope by themselves don't realise that they sometimes need to let go and let others do things with and for them. You succeed admirably in the first and I love the way you allow your family and friends to support you in the second x

Ionafan has put it beautifully; you are doing a fantastic job.

Busy busy busy in Valliland - DS's room not yet clear

And, now I'm fully caught up with the thread I too hopeit has been caught early and can be treated, Dusty.

You will both be high in my thoughts this week Dusty and Bossy, be gentle on yourselves x

    Morning,

My plan today is to not languish in the doldrums as I did yesterday. Once I get the littlies away to school I'm going shopping. I'm supposed to be away this weekend so may treat myself to a new outfit. Also need groceries. Inlaws having kiddies here so needs groceries too. Think I will get them a chicken crown and a family size cottage pie from Mr S

Hope everyone has a brighter day xxx

  • Morning everyone

Paid stuff today, and I need to go to the tyre fitting place and get my slow puncture sorted. Hate doing that, always end up feeling like an idiot for some reason. Oh and need to go to L*dl for food.

Might hang the washing out quickly, I did manage to get it dried a bit on Monday!

  • Dusty and Bossy you are both in my thoughts at these difficult times. Like everyone else Dusty I hope it has been caught early. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and we know she had had the lump for at least 3 months prior to doing anything about it. 14 months on the tumour is still shrinking. And Bossy - all you can do is take it one day at a time. Here's hoping you find a lovely outfit and have a great time at the weekend.

and I suppose I better go and do the ironing. Having bought a new, shiny, iron I have no excuse not to....

And finally last call for flylady secret santa..... if you want to be involved or more information please ask in the thread or pm me.

Morning all. Empathy / sympathy / encouragement to all, especially dusty, katiecat and bossymoo. Thinking of you all.x We have some strong, inspirational women on this thread - you can all hold your heads up high, maybe battered a bit by what life has thrown at you, but not defeated.

I had a SUPER PRODUCTIVE evening last night. I have been very busy with work (hence my absence last week) and as a result, my study (which is really just a landing) became a Teetering Pile of Doom. It's the place the whole family dumps stuff. The kids rummage through my nice stationary, the 2 year old scribbled on my desk, and I couldn't even see the floor around the desk. I still have tons of work and some tight deadlines, but it was stressing me out so much - I work from home, so I was working sitting on the bed, because the desk was such a tip! So I decided to put work on hold last night and I completely cleared the room, desk tidied and cleaned, all the gubbins waiting to go up to the attic, hoovered, 3 bags of rubbish and recycling and charity shop stuff decluttered.

I'm feeling so much SANER having my desk back! It's so nice to sit properly and get on with work! And because it is nice, I did some online stuff there late last night, then left my laptop there and came to bed computer free, which I am sure will help me sleep better.

    Today:
Finish allocated work tasks (this will take me all the time while kids at school, plus evening)
    Cook the dinner
    Lunch out
Sort and put away 1 basket clean laundry

:rotfl: Shaking your head won't help your neck, embb! I hope it gets better soon.

Go and try out your new iron, CY. I would join you if I could, but I've got too much else to do right now (and I'm procrastinating again, can you tell?) If you do 2xHHI this morning, I'll do all of mine later today - deal????
