EXPIRED Amazon Black Friday week: W/c 24th Nov

Oh and apparently Sainsburys are doing one on 28th November, given the state of the buns last week I think they had a black everyday that week!I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0

If the early ones they have currently are anything to go by the one I had half an eye on was reduced by 34% to start with before offer was then reduced to 43% and they only had 2 so went in a flash. I would have wanted 60% anyway before I would have considered it.
The ones they have running all the time aren't as good as the ones throughout Black Friday week (going off experience of checking). Hopefully they'll pick popular products like they have in the past, that aren't usually reduced, like games consoles and dvds

What's peoples stragedy on Black Friday?
I've watched it over the last cfew years on Amazon and either not got the thign I wanted or ended up with something I don't need!
My thought process is this -
This year, Santa is being asked for a Mini iPad for my daughter and an X Box for my son.
I'm thinking of getting them at John Lewis on maybe the Thursday before Black Friday. Then, if either product is reduced 28 days after I buy it I will be able to claim the difference at John Lewis and have the product in hand, make sure it's at the cheapest price without and have a three year warranty to boot!
If nether product has been reduced then I've sitll got the item before Christmas and a 3 year gaurentee!
Is this something that anyone has done in the past?!
Whilst I have no experience of John Lewis price matching personally I am not convinced this will work. As far as I am aware the product needs to be in stock and available to buy at the lower price at the time of submitting the price check, and arguably at the time John Lewis check......given you are wanting an Ipad and an Xbox (arguably sought after) I would imagine (if they are included in a black Friday deal) they wouldn't stay available at the lower price for very long at all.
That said - according to my research the ipads were only discounted £15ish last black Friday therefore you may place more value on the 3 year guarantee and it may be worth the risk - perhaps take a screenshot of the item in your basket and argue it was in stock when you checked and you could have purchased it cheaper?0 -

Amazon are one of the largest hosting providers in the world. They don't have any need to outsource during busy periods, they can handle it.
Sorry but that is incorrect, Amazon admitted in a communication to me that they outsourced during busy times, when I contacted them to report what had happened to my card last year.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -
I bet we'll have the same One Direction signed CD fiasco that we did last year!0

i am hoping they have a PS40

Last year I got our Actifry for about 40% off I think, was really pleased! Will be keeping my eye out as a couple of items I would like (including a kitchen mixer of some sort). I'm off work Wednesday by chance and I somehow think the laptop will be open the entire day just so I don't miss anything :rotfl: Oooo the excitement, I prefer BF to Boxing day deals!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I am SO looking forward to this. I think most of the stuff I bought last year was for me, not anyone else.

I'm going in with a strategy this year as I have a list of things to buy for xmas for people. Money is even shorter than it was last year.
May the odds be in your favour, folks

The first year was brilliant! I got a d&g watch for £40 or just over, still wear it now.
I am just going to have a look, I have a list, so i'm hoping that some curlers that my cousin wants come up somewhere.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
