Just called and cancelled mine. Only applied to get the bonus. I got confirmation of my application on 13 November, then got an email on 18 November telling me it was running late. I didn't realise I could top up before I received it. They gave an 0844 number to call if you wanted to cancel. I found an alternative number on 'say no to 0870' but when I called that I just got a recorded message telling me to use the 0844. I called them - it was only a 2 minute call but I'm willing to bet it will cost more than the 99p that they are refunding me!

If you have debit cards, I guess you have at least one current account. If you have online access to a current account, why not transmit the funds by FP direct from your account. Then it doesn't matter what the initials are on your debit cards (and no 99p fee for topping up).

Huh! And despite cancelling it, today I got an email confirming it has been dispatched. I'm not even at that address anymore so no idea what will happen. Guess I've lost the 99p and the cost of the call.

I am now using this card succesfully. After saying that my name had to match exactly they said "We would like to inform you that our Technical Team has put a fix in place to ensure debit card loads should now work for you. ". So it was an error with their systems. Don't know why they had to fob me off about names matching exactly.
