    Keep checking with the court, at some point they ought to tell you the claim has been dropped, but obviously if they don't then you need to turn up to avoid a default win for them.

    Make sure you let the court know that the Principal (the hospital) has requested PE to drop the claim, it removes PE's cause of action (they are supposedly acting on behalf of the hospital) and will not help their case one bit.

    If you do attend court and it has been cancelled, make sure that you ask for costs, taxis, new outfit, haircut, etc.,
    You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
