  • I'm so sorry to have been mia, I have been at my beautiful Mums bedside for the last 5 weeks and sadly she died on Wednesday and this is my first day home. I am comforted that I had that time with her - it came out of the blue - and I was holding her hand as she passed. I will be back when I can.

Such a sad story but sounds comforting that you were there to say goodbye.

Thoughts are with you and family.

  • MrCF - I am bowing out of this challenge :(

I have decided to whittle down some of the challenges I am involved as I am finding it hard at times to remember where I am with them all since increasing my hours and now working full time shifts.

Thank you for all the hard work you put into this challenge - it can't be easy!

Good luck to everyone else on the way to reaching your targets :)

Kneil77 - I've put you down as number 72. Have a look on the spreadsheet and you will see how it works.

Hello everyone, thank you all for your good wishes. It was my first day at work today for 5 weeks which felt odd but what I needed - some normality. I am off next week to prepare everything for Mums funeral next Friday and the list of jobs is enormous. It felt strange last night coming back to my house, and I had to close the door of Mums room here as it just felt too raw. One day at a time eh. I have caught up with some of my bank accounts today though and caught up with the missing £'s for the days I was absent so I am back on track with this challenge anyway. I will hopefully be back to my usual chatty ways in due course.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
