Afternoon Everyone :j
Hopefully this update should make things a little clearer for everyone.
I've done a full update so everyone's figures should be upto date and looking great.
Welcome to all the new members. Please remember to view the first post and have a read along with requesting permission for the spreadsheet. You simply need to sign in with an active account and I will add your details to the spreadsheet. This will enable you to view it. Nobody can view it without "requesting permission".
You cannot break the spreadsheet. A few people have been saying that they don't want to touch it incase it all goes wrong. Only I can change/edit it. You will be able to open it up in an excel document and view it only. Don't be afraid of it. If you haven't already, request permission and have a look, it's very colourful :rotfl:
Just a few points to go over;
When updating via the update online form, update your total for that particulate month only. I will add that months total to the previous months and calculate your total / percentage in the spreadsheet!
Please try and make an effort to use the update form and spreadsheet. I have put a lot of time into it and it's easier for me to work with. I may miss you out if you just post your totals on the thread unfortunately. This is just with me being busy working and getting reading to move house
If you are unable to continue this challenge, please let me know rather than continuing and not saving any. This way the spreadsheet will be tidier and as a group our percentages will look better. The more motivation the better. I just don't want lots of "£0.00 saved" at the end of the challenge. I think if people haven't updated by the end of March they will get deleted. This way the newcomers can fill their space.
Right, the figures;
There are now 106 members. This is fantastic and one again well done to everyone!
60 people have updated their total for January. There is still 56 people to submit their updates. Please can people check and submit their update if needed.
Our savings target for December was £3286.00. So far we have managed £1900.11. A few more updates should see up pass above the two thousand barrier.
Well done to the folk who have already submitted January's update. January's savings already stands at £307.00.
In total, together, we have all saved a massive £2207.11
If anyone's totals are wrong, please let me know on the thread and I will do my best to change this for you. If anyone has any advice about making the spreadsheet better, please let me know your thoughts.
All in all, well done everyone. You are all fantastic

Well done. Nope, you did it all correct. How easy was it? :rotfl:If I transfer £31 + to my online saver could I join please?

Plan to transfer online into savings account on the last day of the month. Will do December's now to catch up. Thanks.
Welcome all 3 of you! You have all been added to the spreadsheet. I have also given you each permission to view it. When your ready, fill in that update form so I can add your totalsI've gotten myself muddled, sorry.
OH has now paid his part of the pot so I am ready to update the spreadsheet thing.
Do I just put in the £62 for January or do I put in the grand total we have saved so far??
Sorry, I am not very bright and have just gotten myself a wee bit confused.
:embarasse
Oh... and is there any chance of getting an update on here with totals or do we have to request access to the spreadsheet?? (I am scared I break the spreadsheet so would rather not access it just in case).
I would love to know how well we are doing moneywise though.
Hi stewby. Listen, no problem at all. Hopefully my massive update above this post solves your problems. You only update for the month you are declaring for. Don't be scared about the spreadsheet, as my father says, "get right in there and have a fiddle" :rotfl:triple_choc_chip wrote: »I feel your pain :rotfl: I updated my total for December which will become part Jan total and then read Mr CF's bit about percentages per month - doh!!
I haven't asked permission to view the soreadsheet because I don't want to use my email so I apologise in advance if I confuse matters!i've changed my signature so that I know where I am even if no-one else does

Have put my 1st £1 into each pot to start me off.
My apologies the OP regarding the spreadsheet, I also won't be requesting to see/use it.
I done this challenge last year and done 2 pots then too. I just updated my totals on the thread and in my signature each day. It's far easier for me to follow
There is always 2 that have to complicate things! Only kidding. No problem at all, I cater for everyone's needs. If your doing 2 separate pots, I will let you off then. I think we will come to some arrangement that you both will let me know your months totals via a PM!£32 saved so far. I won't be a accessing the spreadsheet thing, will just update my totals in this thread and my signature.
Well done so far! Can you have a look at my update above this post. If I can't entice you to view the spreadsheet after that, I don't know what will :cool:£31 transferred for January! :j :j Current total is £62. :beer:
