H Mr CF and group :)

So sorry for not posting, I have never been able to access the spreadsheet so didn't come to post. I have been saving my £1 per day + other bits which I haven't counted... How much should there be, is it about £180?

Looks like everyone is doing well ---> better than expected for some :)

Hello MrCF and everyone. I am so sorry I haven't updated my total for a while. Unfortunately my car needed repairing and rather than using my credit card (to avoid building more debt) I pulled together all my savings to pay for it - so will be starting again with the pound a day challenge tomorrow.

I think the is sensible and good use of the money. Christmas is just a nice focus for saving, but sometimes life takes over and you need the money for something else, but if you hadn't been saving for Christmas you probably wouldn't have saved that money for anything else, so you would now have more debt and more interest to pay.

I was lucky not to have to raid my Christmas jar to go towards my new (to me) car, and hoping that with 23 days till my next pay day I can avoid raiding it at all if I am really careful and tight this month.

£2 in for today - I did this challenge last year and I am now approaching the total amount that I saved for the whole of 2014! I'm so happy that I have stayed on track and my thanks go to Mr CF for making this challenge a bit more interesting with his spreadsheet;)

OK guys transferred £31.33 for June and I earned 9p interest on what I've saved so far! Whoopee doo dah! Might be able to buy someone a Freddo for Xmas if they're still 10p. Sarcasm aside I've now got £343.70 so will update my June total on the spreadsheet Mr CF. Well done everyone can't believe it's end of June!:T
