Nissan Micra spare wheel query
My wife had a puncture today and shredded the tyre. Luckily enough, a couple of lorry drivers helped and fitted the spare (temporary) wheel. This is my first experience of using this type of spare wheel, and I don't care for it very much. I am having both rear tyres replaced tomorrow, and I wondered if it would be possible to replace the small spare wheel tyre with one of the tyres which is being replaced or would I have to buy a new rim to do this. The spare looks very small on the car.

Space saver is the clue.0 -
I'd throw a proper spare wheel in the boot

Yes, I am aware that it is a space saver but there is room for the full size wheel in the boot.0 -

I doubt you can use a space saver rim with a normal tyre and it ought to be obvious just looking at it.
I think the space savers are ok and they save space and weight.0 -

In their early days they were put in a super car and as you say saved space and weight. Only problem was once on the car the passenger had to have the full size wheel on their lap.0 -
I thought I was reading things wrong - a normal tyre on a spacesaver wheel, is that really the question?
Do it, and post a pic!0
