It all worked out in the end :D

I couldn't get an answer from my neighbour so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get enough. Got my hand stamped - a lovely big black cross drawn on with marker pen lol - and they were giving out 2 packs of 6 x 2L bottles per person. Earlier, it was one pack per person so we both ended up with what we needed :T

Joscar, keep an eye on the Radio Gloucestershire website or switch the radio on - people were ringing in when they spotted a bowser. You'll get the info much quicker than waiting for an official list from Severn Trent. They seem to give the list to the radio station once they've finished siting them and that takes ages. Well it did in Glos anyway :D

    Thanks Tru,

We now have bowsers (actually arrived Wednesday evening ( mains stopped Tuesday morning ), plus an extra bowser closer to me that was not on the original list. Even better, the army arrived with a massive mobile water tanker last night, so spirits are getting better around here, many people helping each other and being neighbourly. Not sure the so called 'Dunkirk spirit' will last another week.

Is there a procedure or particular time to go to get bottled water?

So far we've seen a few army deliveries at different times of day and wondered how people know where and when to go.

    Thank you :)

PaleScene, we go to Tesco in Quedgeley. We just turn up and hope :D The earliest we've been is 8.30am, the latest 6.30pm and there's been plenty of bottles. I would imagine the times are the same everywhere

Thank you ... (just noticed it's Tru twice!) both :) erm... times.

Intriguing that Tesco Bishops Cleeve is cleverly hidden on the list under Tewkesbury...!

I'm trying to psych myself up for an invigourating cold hairwash with water from the garden
