Thank you Chrysalis, and a very happy new year to you, (and to all!).
Good news on the house, cat is welcome! We are viewing this Friday :j

    Smile - £1900
    Fluid - £7650

    Total - £9550

So house viewing tomorrow, am just gathering tips and info to help us make an informed decision. DD is nervous about moving schools, which is causing DH and I a bit of worry. We're trying to look at the bigger picture - we both know that this move will be beneficial for all of us in the long run, but not easy to explain that to a just-turned 6 year old:(

We've managed to pay off a bit more this week, so new totals:

    Smile - £1852.24
    Fluid - £7625.00

    Total - £9477.24

    :j:money::j:money:

Grrr, house viewing was cancelled on the day, and has yet to be rearranged. Very annoying! Trying not to stress, but hate this feeling of limbo.
    Anyway, quick update of totals:
    Smile - £1800
    Fluid - £7600

Total - £9400 (I do like nice round totals!)

House viewing rearranged for Friday, but we're not the only ones interested .
Obviously, we haven't actually seen it yet, but it ticks all the boxes - I even emailed the school which is a five minute stroll away and they have space for DD.
The landlord is going to decide once everyone interested has seen it, so all we can do is hope - we have excellent references, nothing untoward on our credit checks, and we earn far in excess of the salaries they require to consider us. We may have to be prepared to pack up and move quickly though, as house is currently empty and LL is keen to get it let.
Made some more payments, so will update totals at the end of the week.
Any tips for making ourselves the most desirable tenants under the sun gratefully received!!

Seen house, (viewed it twice to make sure!), and also had a tour of the school at the end of the road. Both great. We're going to throw our hats into the ring first thing Monday, so it's everything tightly crossed from now on.......!
    :T :j :D :rotfl: ;)
  • Good luck on the house move :D

Will be following along from now :)

Just to add if you have the same problem with forgetting to cancel prime from Amazon you can email at any time and they refund you :)
    Time to start again :o

Thank you Olivia Louise, and for the tip!:)

So, it's the end of the week and time for an update:

    Smile visa - £1600
    Fluid visa - £7524

    Total - £9124

Next goal, the £9000 barrier :j

The house is ours subject to a satisfactory credit check and references! :j

Very excited, just waiting for the letting agent to process everything before we get stuck into all the bureaucracy!

Still waiting on all the house paperwork - can't apply for DD's school place until we have a signed tenancy agreement! End of this week hopefully.
May have found a childminder, fingers crossed! :T

    So, some totals:

    Smile - £1500
    Fluid - £7500

    Total - a nice round £9000 :j:j

Will make another payment tomorrow to break the 9k barrier!
  • Chipping away at it rokchik, soon be wondering where the hell that debt went!!
    :eek:Living frugally at 24
