This ones is a classic, the Audi A1 is "worlds away" from a Corsa.
So what exactly is the A3 compared to a Corsa then? A super quantum car based on advanced alien technology...unlike the Corsa which uses acient combustion cycle technology.
I think what is happening here is purely a psychological effect… when the OP checks out the A1, her perceived feelings of the A1 are grotesquely exaggerated because in her mind she’s thinking “Oh what would people think when they see me in an AUDI…how impressed they will be, I can’t wait to show off.”
You've gone off Audi and BMW cars since you've changed names.0 -
I really just wanted an A1.
I'm 5'3 and already look a bit out of place in that so I'd look silly in an A3 and, if I'm being honest, I don't like them as much.
I really don't have anyone to impress with my car, clothes or otherwise but thank you for that awful analogy of women and what we think is important. :rotfl::rotfl:
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go do my hair and think about pink fluff and how people see me.0 -

In regard to extras I would be asking myself if I had the car x period of time would I spend the time wishing I had got them.
You may find that a new car from somewhere like Brokers4cars may not be that more expensive.
As has been said before if you get a car that is say a year you will be getting it was run in.
I tried to be logical but in the end I just thought bother it. I went for a lease on a Golf. It may not be very money saving but hey after years with cars that are not my choice.0 -
My input, from the original request, is check Audis website and use their used car search option. But as mentioned, let it look at the entire country, for choices. The prices won't vary much, but you will see ALL the cars available, so giving the best chance of finding a colour and model with the options you would like.
Also it will let you know what finance offers there are running, which will give you chance to compare with new prices. For the current fully discounted price, go to Carwow who will e mail you a number of quotes from Audi dealers, without any cost, or pressure to buy.
Chances are, you'll find a lowish mileage, 6 month old demonstrator, saving some sensible amount, but also giving you some fitted options, that would have been added cost initially.
Also, think about prepaying for your next two services, or getting them to include in the deal, rather than trying to haggle a huge discount. That way, you know you will be looked after as well as possible, during warranty period.

Thank you everyone who gave a decent reply. I didn't realise people could conclude I was shallow for liking the look of a car. I best not tell them I like the new beetle as well had I? :rotfl:
Im pretty certain if I don't get the xenon lights I will obsess over it, much like I did when I brought my very first car and it didn't have front fogs (a feature I had and never used on my cars that followed might I add)
I know myself well enough to know that heated seats I probably wouldn't miss so it's not so much a must have in my case.
I'm on a slight time constraint right now I have a car being provided by the third party insurance who have said I can keep it till I find my new car, but I'm wondering how long their patience will last.0 -

Be careful with a hire/loan car, as once they have made an offer and you nave accepted, then they will have fulfilled their obligation and the car will need to go back, or you will need to cover any rental costs.
That would indicate that waiting for delivery on factory fresh, may well be not the way to go.

Thank you for this but it isn't the case in my situation. It's a little bit of a weird one.0 -
