If the 5 stamps arrive and its a big if, you want to exact some sort of revenge for him mucking you around. So what i do is go to some unscrupolus websites and put his email address into the box that says 'yes i would like to receive daily pictures of Naked Men/women/he shes etc'
and even better if you have a phone number (a mobile number) do the same sign him upto some naughty premium number lines!!

I do hope that was tongue in cheek!

The buyer has offered a refund of the out of pocket charges, albeit reluctantly. What you are suggesting is pure harrassment and as a user of ebay it makes me uncomfortable that anyone would think like that.

I have been the subject of harrassment although not as a result of ebay, and it is not pleasant.

Let us know if you get your stamps.

I like the brick idea - hee- it's naughty but nice; and just.

Steer clear of anything nasty though, as younever know what corruptible young person might intercept.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Whilst I agree that the suggestion of signing them up to unsavoury services is a no-no, the seller will still be making a profit from the postage even if they do send the 5 1st class stamps. Original postage charge was £2.50, postage used was 30p. 5 1st class stamps cost £1.50 and lets say another 30p to post them. In all that comes to £2.10. The seller has still made 40p profit from this, and this is because they are reluctantly offering the 5 1st class stamps. He should have been reported to eBay (who would have done nothing about it anyway), and the buyer should have demanded a refund of £3.48 (£2.50-30p from original postage + £1.28 that Royal Mail wanted).

The original charge of £2-50 P+P is a dead duck, EBay would accept that as reasonable. (Trust Me) The issue is therefore the sellers failure to deliver their end of the bargain and as it now appears the seller (as you point out) is reluctantly offering a refund of the excess postage, they will, eventually, have delivered.

What remains is to rate them as a seller, and on attitude alone they'd get a Neg from me. :)

Sorry but no, the post and packing was there in the auction terms and was agreed by the buyer. The only time it is reportable to ebay is if it becomes excessive and is considered fee avoidance.

Read some of the other threads on here about p and p. It is more than just the cost of the stamps. The packing and all associated costs including arguably queuing up in the post office, are totally allowed by ebay, If you don't like the post and packing charges then don't bid.

In this case the seller was perfectly within their rights to reclaim the out of pocket amount, which the seller has (or hopefully will be ) refunding by way of stamps but not complain about the original charge.

With so many threads having little more than a beginning, it's good to see a thread with a beginning, a middle and an end. ;)

    As for feedback... hhhmmm...

Very true, but it is still anoying when it happens.

I bought an item on ebay last week and took the postage into account of the total price i wanted to pay, so fair enough. But, looking at identical items on ebay, they were all showing postage as being 11quid postage compared to the £25quid my seller wants. After purchase, I asked my seller whether he could double check the postage with royal mail who charge £11 for delivering the same item, or use someone like https://www.parcelnow.co.uk who would charge £15 to bring the price down, and he just said "its £25 tough".

So, hardly good customer services from this guy!
