The claim that it's not arrived has no substance because there has been contact between the 2 parties discussing the fact that there's been a charge, or am I just being thick

My understanding, (and you will find evidence on this board) is that Paypal don't entertain discussion or debate, all they want to see is is proof of receipt. :)

Personally, I would advise the seller as follows.....

"If a full refund of the £1.28 due is not received within the next 48 hours, I shall simply commence the chargeback process, following which I shall repackage and post the DVD back to yourself. So as not to be any further out of pocket, I will of course not be affixing any stamps whatsoever"

Then again, I cannot be done with Rsoles like that. :)

When I had someone file a chargeback against me (item lost in post and they never told me) in the resolution centre the only options given are full refund or provide tracking. Basically, there's no-where in there that he can respond

Thanks Tojo, your suggestion is brilliant. If the OP no longer has the DVD then a chargeback can be made for the full amount.

If the 5 stamps arrive and its a big if, you want to exact some sort of revenge for him mucking you around. So what i do is go to some unscrupolus websites and put his email address into the box that says 'yes i would like to receive daily pictures of Naked Men/women/he shes etc'
and even better if you have a phone number (a mobile number) do the same sign him upto some naughty premium number lines!!

I hope he remembers to put the right postage on them. LOL

Once you have received the stamps. Post him a Brick or something really heavy and post via normal mail. So that he will have to pay to get a brick.

Come on, that's just not nice. Also that would probably amount to harrassment.

It's a shame when sellers don't stick to their deal. When i sell i always give low postage even when i know the postage will come to more..
