Butterfly Brain - Congratulations, you deserve it.
tru - your visitor is stunning. We used to have a pheasant come to join our hens, at dusk he would toddle across the lane and roost in the hedge opposite the house but be back in time for breakfast!
LW - What a fantastic surprise, you are very lucky and obviously very much loved.
Dumpling - How did your meeting go?
HH - Did you hear about your hours?

Been a lovely day here, bright but cold. Needed a proper dinner so we had venison sausages from my Aunt's fishmonger (strange thing for a fish shop to sell!) with loads of veggies. Just hit the spot. The sausages were fantastic - so glad I wasn't disappointed as they cost over £1 each!

    Take care. XX

DS1 here for the week as he is doing a course in Dublin. Lovely to have him, had forgotten how easy he is to live with.

OH turned 74 yesterday, my best friend 69 onFriday, DS1 and my brother will be 43 and 61 respectively tomorrow, had them dinner yesterday, went really well, we had roast beef, roast and mashed potatoes, cauliflower, carrot, parsnip and turnip, with banoffie (courtesy of DS3) to follow and we had a lovely relaxed chat.

LW...what a lovely surprise! Have been reminded today of the book "Feel the fear and do it anyway" Maybe you can think your way around your misgivings over the next few months, as another OP has said, it proves that you are much loved, which is a wonderful place to be.

Hugs to all in need of one or several, sleep well and stay safe
