    O! M!! G!!!
Mr LW has just called to tell me he's booked us a holiday for next year. In March. A cruise to see the eclipse on March 20th and the Northern Lights.
I can't make up my mind if I'm excited or terrified!

  • Good Afternoon everyone, LAMEWOLF how exciting, DD1 and He Who Knows have done two Hertigruten cruises to see the northern lights and then up to the russian border on the second one, they loved every second and said the food and accommodation on the ships was first class. They love Norway so much they are going in the summer next year and playing with the inland railways and exploring the interior. What a lovely thing to have to look forward to.

TRU what a lovely photo, your partridge is a cutie, isn't he lovely?

We had a very disturbed night again with Docky he was scared of the noise when we had some very heavy showers so He Who Knows was up and down 4 times in the night. I sent him back to bed and did the early morning walk and then went into town to start christmas. It was busier than I thought it would be but I got some nice books in Waterstones and some nice bathy things on 3 for 2 in Boots so worth the trip. I'm suffring from the fact that both the local independent toy shop and the Early Learning Centre have now closed so will have to go further afield for the Zebra childs presents. He does however now own some rather snazzy socks with tractors on!!! I'm going to have to be very organised this year as DD1 and I have saved up and are having a few days in Berlin for those wonderful christmas markets they have. I hope it's snowy, it usually is and makes it feel right for the season. There is a magic there that we just don't manage to make in this country and we love it so much. DD2 and hubby and that Zebra want to visit the day after we return and stay until christmas eve, lovely but I'll have to be busy as we don't get home until the 22nd Decenber. It will be lovely to have everyone under one roof again even if only for a couple of days.

Look after yourselves, I hope that Little Dog is well today and a happy puppy, Lyn xxx.
  • LYN himself and I did Cologne Christmas market one year, and also Bonn. We had a wonderful time, but my goodness it was bitterly cold.

I just love to see how other countries celebrate Christmas, and the beautiful hand crafted decorations. I hope you and DD have a wonderful time when you go

  • Afternoon all,

Had a lovely walk this morning, thankfully the rain stopped in time. Had my roots re done too.

Cleaned the bathroom and downstairs loo. I've done a curry type thing in the oven today for dinner. Never attempted to cook one like this before so I'll let you all know tomorrow if it's a good idea or not!

Had a bit of a scare yesterday. I was doing DH's paperwork and decided to downsize on some of the old paperwork he has kept. Whilst sorting out I realised his van mot had run out in August!!! It was a genuine mistake as this is his second van since being SE and the old one all the tax, mot and insurance were due in January. This one the tax and ins are still due in Jan but the Mot is obviously different. I felt so bad as I am usually very organised. Hopefully he will have got it booked in for today.

    Off to yoga tonight.

I can't remember who said about Downton being the final episode last night, but I couldn't believe how all the adverts were Christmas ones. It was an xmas ad frenzy!!!

LW - Be excited. It sounds fab!
  • LW............... Wow what a fantastic surprise. I would be so excited

It's a once-in-a-lifetime trip; you don't get a total solar eclipse every day!:D Just a long way out of my comfort zone.:o I'm sure it'll be great; I just need to get used to the idea!:D

  • Lonewolf - That sounds amazing! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.

I've been back at work last week so hence why I've been much quieter but very glad to be feeling better. Hectic day today but that's fine by me as I have tomorrow and Wednesday off. House and rabbit sitting for my parents as they went away today for a few days. I have no plans so just a couple of days relaxing with my bunnies.

I have just bought a couple of Christmas presents and I'm feeling pretty good about it since two of them were actually cheaper than last time I looked on-line and the other one was a little £2 stocking filler. Both OH and Dad want cufflinks this year though and I am rubbish with that kind of thing. Luckily OH's family all tell each other what they want or what they are going to get them so he knows I'm getting him cuff links since that's what he asked for and will help me style, etc. for both his and Dad's. To be honest they are so similar I could get them both the same ones any they would be very chuffed!!

Take care everyone. Have lovely evenings!
