    Hope you enjoy it.
  • I have just found this thread and want to say to say thanks everyone for your tips! I have already planned to cook a chicken for Sunday dinner but I know I will have leftovers. Have just checked and I have a jar of Pataks korma paste in the cupboard and a can of coconut milk and I always have a supply of tinned tomatoes in the cupboard - so that is Mondays tea sorted!!!:T

I made the tikka masala last night using pataks - can confirm it was delicious!!
  • i have always used pataks sauces - madras, korma, royal korma and tikka masala - all been fantastic. have tried sharwoods, gf prefers sharwoods but she is not really keen on curry, but i'm not overly keen on it.

have started using the patak pastes recently and very impressed by them. me and my 'stepdaughter' love a curry made with them - which we have when my gf is working late!

  • Had the curry last night and it was a definite success with the whole family! :D
I made the sauce with onions, Korma paste, tin of tomatoes and a tin of coconut milk. OH added a bit of curry powder to his but it was spicy enough for the children. I was doing my shopping this evening and went looking for a jar of Tikka paste but came home instead with a jar of Balti paste. I look forward to using it another night.

Thanks again everyone for your curry suggestions:T

    I've been Money Tipped!
Made a v. scrummy curry the other day ... lamb not chicken but it was absolutely gorgeous ... fried off some lazy garlic and a diced onion, added cubed lamb, cubed sweet potato and chunky mushrooms, pataks tikka masala sauce and a tin of chopped tomatoes, simmer for an hour ... delicious!!!
    That's Numberwang!

  • I made a lovely curry using Pataks paste on the weekend.

You had to soften an onion in oil & add 2tbsp Pataks Vindaloo Paste, add 1kg Chuck steak & brown. Add 250ml beef stock, bring to the boil & then leave to simmer for about half an hour. Add some coconut cream & return to the boil - leave to simmer until meat is cooked through & serve with rice.

The coconut cream cools the curry down so it's not too hot. My bf doesn't like a hot curry but he thoroughly enjoyed it.
