Customers that knock something off the shelf or dropping something that breaks and contents go everywhere, don't bother telling a shop worker. Shop workers cannot be down every aisle
I admit I have dropped something. At least I put my trolley over the spillage to prevent other customers slip. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
There is a group of five friends that always seem to be at Sainsburys when I am there. Not just the friends but their 12 children between them and two older women (mothers?). Always shopping together with just buying a few items each. Why do they need 19 of them to shop? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Also, "ladies" please ask someone what supermarket parallel parking is.
R.x
I can assure you RWGRAY that I am perfectly capable of parallel parking and any other kind of parking, whether in a supermarket or elsewhere. I'm sure that there are plenty of other '"ladies"' who are equally capable. I have seen many "gentlemen" who can't park for toffee.
Talk about stereotyping ....... :female:0 -
Customers dumping things in the wrong temperature - fresh chicken in the freezers, yoghurt in the biscuits etc.
My friend who works in a supermarket told me that she had to dispose of £200 of fresh meat and another £70 on other items per week because idiotic and lazy customers don't put them back in the right temp section. Does not matter if you dump yoghurt in the fresh ready meals but that its still sellable!
The cost of this goes on your shopping! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Checkout staff that rudely analyse what reduced items you are buying and ask if you have left any on the shelf.

Blimey 267 posts moaning about shopping in supermarkets, Simple solution to many here suffering with the problems listed, And people wonder why the UK has the label of being a complaining/moaning nation.
A: Shop at silly o clock when the store is emptier.
B: Shop online for home delivery.0 -
Going shopping to a 24 hour Asda at midnight hoping for a nice simple shopping trip, and then getting to the tills to find out that every one of their 30+ tills is unmanned and I'm expected to put a weeks worth of shopping through a self-scan checkout that shouts at me every 10 seconds because the scales are !!!!!0

I know at Tesco 24 hour stores, there are no manned checkout staff between 9pm-8am. Asda maybe the same - though 7-10 days before Xmas, the there no manned tills between midnight-5am.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
