CD WOW - Anyone else having delivery/communication problems??

First of all, this is my first time on forum - so patience please!
Is anyone else out there having problems with CD Wow? I placed an order on 4 Jul. They took the money out following day and since then nothing. They don't reply to emails and you can't get through on the phone. Just wondered if anyone else was in same boat? And if so, what you suggest.
Thanks

yep, i ordered a CD (i won't tell you which one as its supremely embarrassing) on May the 5th and it finally turned up at the end of June. I emailed them after 2 weeks and they said it was out of stock but that they were getting more in soon (fine, well blimming tell me that then).
then i emailed them again after a month of waiting as i was annoyed that they still had the CD for sale on their website if it was out of stock. I received no reply at all._____________________________________________

Well the CD-WOW service has certainly deteriorated over 2007. At the moment the website says their telecomms firm is responsible for their phone service not working! And their online contact form won't work for me either. So emailed them to ask where my delayed order is.
I ordered a £13 DVD set back on 8/7 and still showing as "despatch pending"! At the time noticed they had a new payment provider PayNova from Scandinavia!
I recall there was a major £££ copyright judgment against them recently. Maybe this is some of the kickback. Certainly not worth placing large orders with them anytime soon by the look of it. I wont be adding to my pending £13 order certainly.
Definitely time to be wary at the very least.0 -
Fined £41 million apparantly.

I haven't used them personally for a while as I was waiting for things to settle down but I have found them to have a reasonably good service in the past.
For anyone looking for an alternative try www.bangcd.com.
I've used them many times with no problems (although some people elsewhere on the board have said they have had issues).
They have an offer on a the moment too - spend £14 get a £1 voucher.
I found a new UK based seller recently http://www.4cheapcds.com (apparantly they used to sell on amazon market place). I've no idea what kind of service they offer but the prices are good.0 -
Well I've got a response within 24hrs to my email query to help@cd-wow.com re my 2wk+ overdue despatch £12.99 DVD set
"As you may have been aware, this item was offered by cd wow through "the warehouse", who supply us with specialist and back catalogue titles that are often more difficult to source. Unfortunately, we have been made aware that the item requested is no longer available via this supplier, and we have been unable to source stock elsewhere. Regrettably this means that we are no longer able to fulfill this order, and therefore the item has been cancelled and a full refund arranged for you."
Obviously it's too soon to see if the refund is going through but I shall obviously report if it doesn't. By the same 'email delivery' I also got a £1 evoucher valid for 1 month, probably because I had used a £1 evoucher as part of the order nearly 3 wks ago.
PS from 27/7: Delighted to say the refund is already there in my credit card account, so things can't be all that bad at CD-Wow : though I did have to prompt to get the refund in this case!0 -
It looks quite bad - a shame as i always liked them

I think there awful, as far back as June 06 I ordered a dvd, and when it hadn't dispatched in 2 weeks I emailed, they emailed back another date which also passed, and in the end I wrote them a strong email and got my money back. It got past a joke, and they were still offering the item on the site.Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£250

It's such a shame you all had these problems cos I can only speak really highly of their customer service dept .They were fantastic .In a cyber world where no one knows anyone ,they were second to none, really went out of their way to deal with any probs or queries.xXx-Sukysue-xXx0

I have always used cd-wow and had never had a problem, until the beginning of July when I used my nectar points to buy a dvd and still havent received it, they did answer my email just saying they were having problems with a supplier. But now I know of the fire I guess I've got to give them a bit of lee-way.0
