Dunno where to bung this, so the good old Arms have it.
My FIL has asked me to make arrangements for his will. Are there any free services? Or can we do it ourselves?
I was hoping not to have to do it for him, as he wants to make DH his only beneficiary.
He doesn't have a great deal, no property, just small savings, but he wants to be sure it goes where he wants.

I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I keep meaning to sort out wills for DW and I. The default action if there are no children is that not all monies go to the surviving spouse but instead some go to siblings ... I would have thought that the default action should be for all monies to go to the surviving spouse.
Having said that when I pop my clogs I won't give a crap about what happens to my estate .. let them fight over it

You really want to leave your partner with uncertainty, expense and delay when you die at a time that they least need it?Public wealth warning! It's not compulsory for solicitors or Willwriters to pass an exam in writing Wills - probably the most important thing you’ll ever sign.

That'll teach her for not having the dinner ready for me last night when I got in ... flamin away out to see some movie with some of the neighbourhood kids ... Firehouse Dog (I think) ... from what the kids told me she enjoyed it more than they did .. they spent more time laughing at her than at the movie. You really want to leave your partner with uncertainty, expense and delay when you die at a time that they least need it?
