Passport renewal time

Applied for Child's first passport.. Just used the online form and signed and sent. Passport for baby back in 5 days... My Passport sent as supporting evidence.. sent back a week later.....with the edges cut off... Phoned and asked why.. Apparently the agent had probably been doing cancellations and renewals all day that they cancelled mine by mistake.. They arranged new forms and had my passport reissued within 3 days..

My child's first passport was back just under two weeks, which I thought was very good considering they had to send a letter to say we had put the wrong amount in a cheque, us send the right amount back to them and then the passport office send the passport back to us. I think, without our mistake (how i made it i will never know), would have been a week between sending forms and getting passport.

I was quite surprised when got knock on door at 7pm (was about to ask what are you trying to sell me) with a security company rep having my passport.
