We went to my Mum’s for a buffet on New Years Day, which was lovely. Ate plenty but it hasn’t affected my weight loss! Lost 3lbs at chub club this morning :j. Only 1.5lbs to go to 2 stone .

Been to hospital today for some not so nice tests involving a camera in my bladder :eek::eek:. All the nasties have been ruled out now though :j:j. Apparently I have double kidneys - who knew!!

Money is tight this weekend but we have plenty of food to last, so hopefully all will be ok until next week Xx

Glad you've got plenty of food in to last you. A plus is this time of year everyone is skint so no pressures to do anything involving spending money.

Double or duplex kidneys means all or part of each kidney is duplicated. Anything from an extra tube out of each kidney to carry urine, to full duplication meaning you have 4. I honestly don’t know which I have! It wasn’t explained very clearly and I was asked to wait for a letter after my appointment, but eventually the receptionist said she’d post it out as the Consultant was having “difficulties with his system”!! Perhaps when it arrives I might know more!

Only 1% of the population have the condition, and it’s usually diagnosed in childhood, because if it’s going to cause problems it usually does so straight away. The extra tubes mean urine can flow back into the kidneys and risk of infection etc can be high. Hopefully, finding out I have the condition at age 41 means I’ve been ‘lucky’ .

First week back at school done without drama. Boys were pleased when it got to Friday night though and they’ve had a chilled weekend.

Lost 2.5lbs this week and got my 2 stone award :j.

Listed a couple of things on eBay, and made one sale immediately. Only £5 but everything helps. A few things on T0pc@shback became payable this week too, including the Edinburgh hotel booking. I also filled in an online evaluation for the hotel detailing the issues we’d had, and the Manager emailed me the next day offering a 30% refund too :T

DS2 is 10 a week today :eek::eek:.
