Hi Lucky :) Hope DS2 has a lovely birthday. I think drinks and cake sounds perfect. We've cut back on what we do over the years which means I can actually enjoy their days rather than playing host to everybody else.

Your weight loss is amazing :T Have a great weekend. xx
  • Evening all.

DS2 had a lovely birthday. We took him trampolining and then had the family over for cake etc. He did super well for cash :money:.

Stressful few days trying to get lots of things sorted. PIP renewal forms have arrived , mortgage fixed term is almost up and needed transferred to a new deal, the car needed it’s MOT and whilst it passed I was advised that the windscreen washer bottle had an issue. This was replaced after the accident I had in October, so I’ve had to contact the garage that did the repair about that. MiL had an issue with HMRC that I needed to sort for her, and I’ve had to source a new dog groomer!! I’ve also had a problem with my gas and electric company. They emailed me today to say they are increasing my direct debit by 50% despite us being in credit and about to receive the Warm Homes Discount of £140. They then had the audacity to say I was unable to amend this months payment as it was too close to the debit date (5 days) even though that’s exactly what they’ve done!!. I’m hoping it’s all sorted but we will see what actually debits next week.

I feel like I need to lie down in a dark room Xx

  • Afternoon!!

Drowning in a sea of laundry here - DS2 has been sick 5 times in 3 days :(. He seems ok in between, just channels the exorcist without warning .

So an update to some of my stress last week.
    1) Mortgage is now on a new deal for next 2 years. Monthly payments almost exactly the same :money:.
    2) Car went back to repair garage. They confirmed the issue and have ordered a new part. Waiting to hear when it arrives to take the car in to be fixed.
    3) New dog groomer found, (cheaper than the last one :j), he went last week and he looks fab. Very happy.
    4) Utility DD comes out tmw so depending on the amount that may still be an issue.
    5) Still working on PIP forms but they are a lot less involved than the previous ones so it’s not as big a deal as it once was.

Money is tight and will be even tighter if First Utility take too much via DD tmw. I have listed 5 things on eBay so fingers crossed they sell and give us a little wiggle room.

Sounds like DS2 has what Mr SA had. It was dreadful :( Took him a week before he could keep anything down.

I hope the direct debit isn't the larger amount. Well done on the other stuff though :)

  • DS1 has the bug now :(:(. You’d think at 15 he would’ve been able to make it to the bathroom in time, but no . Absolutely sick of cleaning carpets!!! Anyway, DS2 seems better and hasn’t been sick for almost 48 hours, so will hopefully be back at school tomorrow.

Utility DD (it’s Shell Energy, keep forgetting it’s not called First Utility anymore!!) came out for the normal amount thank goodness. Still not impressed, but at least I’m not out of pocket.

Small sale of £3 on eBay.

Mr SA is 55 and never made it to the toilet on time :(

Hoping you don't pick their bug up. I managed to avoid it so you might be lucky.

Thank goodness the DD was ok.
