This was the month I was meant to redouble my efforts, put £500 into my savings and live with what was left, and continue ever onwards. Unfortunately the bug had other ideas! I’m enjoying the homeschooling, both cajoling and helping with what the teachers are setting daily and doing our own homework on top.

Have you logged into twinkl.com and got the free homeschooling stuff from there? Because Jellytot’s in year 3 now, I’ve got everything up to year 6 sats stuff saved onto the computer. If nothing else, t’will help me in my quest to become a TA.

Lots of love Lucky. Stay safe everyone!! Xxx

  • I cleared the cookies on my phone and I can access the forum much better now - such a relief to have it working properly!! Hopefully all will be well now and I can go back to reading/posting regularly.

Lilty, hope you are still getting on well with the homeschooling. DS2 isn’t exactly overjoyed at all the work set by his school, but we are plodding through it. He’s much more interested in playing xbox or making cakes  ;).

So a few things to catch up on. DS2’s school have joined the free school meals voucher initiative. They rang and asked what supermarket I wanted them for, and I now have 2 x £15 vouchers so far. It’s £15 every week until school resumes (or the summer hols I assume if we aren’t back then). I haven’t been able to get supermarket slots thus far, but amazingly there was one on Mr T’s yesterday for delivery this afternoon. I pounced on it and then found out right at the end that the vouchers can’t be used online  :(. I went ahead with the order, but next time will have to go instore. DS1’s school haven’t done anything so far apart from offer all students lunch if they go into school in full uniform. Erm, no thanks!

And the best news - our family is growing!! Oakley’s nephew (currently almost 5 weeks old) will be moving in with us when he is old enough to leave his canine mummy. Absolutely can’t wait. We met him before the lockdown, but have had to put up with videos and photos since then. Can’t wait to be his hooman mummy. We are calling him Rowan 🐾.

  • Oh  my goodness PLMBL, he s the cutest little thing ever, I loooooove spaniels and would love another pupster but our old girl likes being on her own and don't think she would take to a crazy young thing taking over her spot on the sofa.
    I'm sooooo jealous xx

  • Thanks all, we are super excited. Oakley met him once and had a good sniff, but he was only a few days old so wasn’t very interesting to him. He was more interested in his sister (the mum) as he adores her. We’ve never met a dog yet that he didn’t get on with though, so fingers crossed.

Have been painting doors today. At least it’s motivation to get them done before I have a puppy stuck to wet paint!! The hall is looking much better now thank goodness. I’ll be less embarrassed opening my front door to folk in future.

Weigh in and virtual chub club in the morning. I’m not losing as much as before isolation, but it’s still coming off which is the main thing. As of last Friday I’d lost 3 stone 4 and a half pounds Xx
