Evening all!

Went to an event yesterday where there were lots of people dressed up as characters from films such as Star Wars and the like. It was a free event, apart from £5 for parking which I didn’t mind as it was for charity. Took MiL with us and she bought us all a drink while we were there :T. It was red hot and we’d taken the dogs with us so I went and sat on the grass in the shade with them. All good until MiL’s dog repaid my kindness by cocking his leg on me!!! :eek. Yackety! Made a swift exit after that so I could get home for a shower and change of clothes .

Today has been a quiet day. Would’ve been a NSD but I discovered we had no shampoo :mad:. Going to Friends Fest tomorrow .

Friends Fest was great fun. We got reduced price disabled/Carer tickets so was worth every (small) penny. Got some brill photos.

Not been far today. Visited a friend who has recently had an op, dropped something off at my Mum’s, and otherwise have done jobs in the house whilst DS2 played out. We are going to the beach tomorrow hopefully as it’s possibly going to be our last dry day until after the weekend according to the forecast. Taking DS2’s friend with us as his Mum is at work.

Beach day was fab yesterday. Mil came too and paid for chips for lunch, so it only cost me £4 for the 2 youngest boys to go on the bouncy castle :T.

Been to chub club today and stayed the same over the last two weeks, including London, which I’m pleased with.

My Sister in Law is in hospital with appendicitis, awaiting an operation after being rushed in by ambulance :eek:. Hope she’s ok Xx

Well done STS Spookily someone I work with was also rushed to hospital with appendicitis yesterday. Hope SIL is ok. Mr SA had a burst appendix when DS was a baby, yet another occasion when he nearly died - he makes a habit of it LOL.

It’s weird SA, the friend I visited on Wednesday had also had her appendix removed! Wonder if it’s something to do with the heat?! Probably not. SIL is having invasive antibiotics first rather than straight for op as they are worried about her heart condition. They are monitoring her progress and she will have op regardless if it gets any worse.

Not been up to much today. The Sunderland air show is on and as we live near Newcastle airport we get a private show from the garden. It was awful thunderstorms this morning, then bright for the afternoon and now the thunder and lightning is back. Typical as I’m going out with some of the Mums from school tonight. We are out for a Chinese though not a bar crawl, so once we are there the rain won’t really matter.
