  • Moody teen has been out with a friend most of today so all calm :j.

Lost 3lbs at chub club so last week’s gain has gone :T.

Got travel insurance sorted also. Did a search the other day and best deal was £60 with a company I hadn’t heard of. When I went back the search had timed out so I had to re do it, this time the cheapest was £48, or I could get a really good deal with minimum excesses for £58 with M0re Th@n so I went for that. Another job ticked off the list.

Cashed out a £5 Amaz0n voucher from GlobalTestM@rket and have enough points to do the same on Sw@gbucks. Almost at £50 on Y0uG0v but not sure that’ll be done and paid out by holidays.

Wow! @please-let-m.. I'm inspired by you. I can't imagine how you do it!! but you are truly inspirational. Keep up the great work being a great mother.

    Thank you eringray :o.
I don’t feel very inspirational, or a particularly good Mum, but I keep trying my best Xx

Feeling panicky again today, mainly about money. We go on holiday in 4 weeks and I haven’t saved nearly as much as I had hoped. I’m still really happy that I won the holiday obviously, but it’s amazing how much a free holiday costs when you add in train travel, a night at a hotel, insurance, attraction tickets, spending money etc. On top of that both boys have sprouted all of a sudden and need new joggers, shoes and possibly shorts as they haven’t tried last year’s on yet.

I’ve listed a couple of things on eBay, got a bag of clothes to weigh in, booked cinema tickets for DS1 and his pal using premier points so technically free but now I’ve run out of ideas. Anyone know where I can find a money tree??.

If you find that money tree let me know ;)

Well done on the weight loss.

It's all the extras needed for holidays that mount up: insurance, getting to and from airport, spending money, clothes, sun lotion, etc - the list is endless and usually costs more than the holiday itself.

Unfortunately I'm hopeless at making extra money so can't come up with any ideas, sorry :( However, knowing you, you'll come up with something :D
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Sorry PLMBL I've no bright idea's for making extra money just the usual surveys/ebay. Could you do a car boot? Get all the boys clothes out and see what still fits and what doesn't then make a list from there for what they need for hols, are you staying in a villa or hotel? If your in a villa you will have a washer dryer and therefore don't need to take as many clothes. Can you cut the grocery budget for the next few weeks and eat cheaper meals r add a few in, nothing wrong with beans on toast or scrambled egg on toast a couple of times a week. Remind the boys why you are trying to save, I do this with my DC and its amazing what they decide they don't need anymore and will sell on ebay if it means a bit more spending money.
  • Thanks ladies :A.

Great ideas pwps! Things there I’ve lost sight of in my panic :o. Will do another freezer/stores inventory so I can trim the shopping budget Xx
