  • Woke up this morning to 6  texts from the bank saying my account had gone overdrawn :(:(:(. Basically a Direct debit I thought was due tomorrow (when we have money coming in) actually came out today (when we didn’t have money coming in). I was absolutely gutted and felt sick. Cue much scrambling to get the money together from holiday fund etc and a trip to the bank. Put me on a right downer all day and left us with nothing to spend today.

DS2 then announced that his headphones that he got from Santa didn’t work any more. Thankfully Santa shops at Arg0s and keeps receipts so we took them back. New ones given and a £5 price difference refunded to me :T.

Because 6 transactions left the account (I was expecting 5 of them and the money was there for those). Xx

Glad you got the bank sorted quickly. Good result with the headphones :)

  • Cheers SA. After the trauma of yesterday I thought we’d have a nice day today and we went to see Peter Rabbit at the cinema using some tickets I’d got cheap on Gr0up0n. We took MiL and whilst the film was great, the rest of the day was a stress from start to finish thanks to hormonal hell boy also known as DS1 . I am currently two thirds of the way through the bottle of wine MIL gave me for Easter :o.

In contrast, DS2 lost a tooth tonight and has written the sweetest note to the tooth fairy. He apologises for losing yet another tooth and hopes the tooth fairy won’t run out of money :smileyhea.

  • This is why I refuse to give the bank my mobile number .

I'm glad you enjoyed Peter Rabbit, but sorry about DS1's hormones . How old is he?

Hope the wine is helping :).

He’s 13 and a half. He may not see 14 :rotfl:.

To be fair, he’s been better today and has apologised for his behaviour yesterday.

We have actually had sun today :j. Such a nice change after what feels like eleventy billion days of heavy rain. We went to the beach with the dog and had a lovely day. Would’ve been a NSD but I paid £3 for DS2 to go on a bouncy castle.
