Hard saving for spending money begins now!
Penny, we spent most of our holiday at Universal Studios last time, so hopefully we can do different things this time. Feel VERY lucky to be getting the opportunity again.
Beanie, Christmas is such an expensive time that I usually spend my Christmas money on food shopping or diesel something rather than on myself. Also, my birthday is the day before DS1’s and the kids have just gone back to school in September, so I usually spend my birthday money on similar things as we are skint then too. It’s just a habbit I’ve got in to.
I haven't been home in almost 6 years and had almost forgotten "Canny" do you say "pet"too?:D
I am just the same as you, my birthday and christmas money goes in the pot too. I do try to recoup some of it back in the better money months but then feel guiltyLiving in a superhero induced haze :A:A

I also try to please other people and forget about "me". My three DS's are now older , working and have changed into lovely men with the last couple of months them telling me to start looking after myself as they can take care of themselves. This is hard to hear and hard to do but I am determined that 2018 is the year to do it.
Fantastic news regarding your holiday to Florida, how did you win it. Sometimes you wonder if people actually win these prizes or whether it's actually fake. A few people I know regularly enter completions and have won small prizes. Perhaps I will give it a go.
Hope the good news keeps coming for you.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Hi amber,
I enter competitions as a hobby. It started around the time of DH’s accident when I could neither sleep nor have anyone to talk to, and it has provided many things for our family that we would not otherwise afford.
To date (off the top of my head), I’ve won £1k, a gold necklace, a trip to Legoland with hotel stay, concert tickets, multiple cinema tickets, pantomime tickets, £100 pizza express voucher, £20 Debenhams voucher, toys and now this biggie - the Florida trip.
Wow, even I didn’t realise it had been that much!!
I use these forums to enter competitions and always tick ‘do not share my details’ type boxes. I only enter for things I’d actually like to win, whether for myself or as the perfect gift for someone.
This particular competition for Florida was via an email from Ocean Florida Villas, asking me to vote in their awards. I literally picked my favourite looking villa froma group of photos and entered my details. Still can’t believe it really! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Happy New Year everyone, hope 2018 is brilliant for you all.
My goals for next year are as follows;
1) Save a minimum of £1k saving money for Florida.
2) Lose weight. Seriously, it’s about time!! I’m 40 in September and want to look better incase I have a party, but moreso I need to be healthier.
3) Be more active now foot seems better (fingers crossed).
4) Have a minimum of 60 NSD’s throughout the year.
5) Take better care of myself/my physical appearance.
6) Continue entering competitions.
7) Do as many good deeds as possible.
8) Declutter.
Thanks to everyone who has continued to support me on this diary. I honestly would have gone mad by now without you XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
