    HI PLMBL

I missed you announcing that your going to Florida, just noticed your hols pot. You will have an amazing time it's were we have just got back from and have been a before so if you want any tips give me a shout. You will make wonderful meomeries that will stay with you forever.
Just a word of warning and i don't want to put a dampner on it but it's expensive out there at the moment with the exchange rate being rubbish, I was prepared for it but still shocked. Also they are so stricked on what food you can take in to the parks, last time I went we took packed lunches in a cooler this time all you could take through food wise was bottled water and small cereal bar sized snacks they were taking stuff off people as they went through bags at security. We made sure we had really good breakfasts and then a small lunch in the park, you can get refillable cups in the parks and this is the cheapest way to get drinks, your not supposed to share them but I shared one with DD and DH shared one with DS and when we refilled them we said no ice so got more drink as they will fill them full of ice. Also you can ask at any of the drink vendors for iced water (not bottled) which is free.

I Hope your feeling a better today after the horrible comments that were made, boys can be so silly at times and show off and make stupid comments. You truly are an amazing person and don't let anyone say otherwise.

Plmbl I have been in touch with my DIL who used to live in Orlando. She said to tell you that there are cheaper places to visit than the Disney and Universal parks. On International drive there are some cheaper fun things to do like the Titanic museum, and others. She said you should visit Disney board walk which is free and have a boat trip on the lake. You get to see Disney characters but be warned there are lots of shops everywhere. I was really hoping she could suggest a way to get free tickets but she said it is impossible :(
She also suggested that you have a day at the beach. Cocoa beach is where she suggested. It is gorgeous... We also went to St Augustine and took a tour. An old gaol etc that the boys would love. And near our accommodation was a nature reserve where we saw some amazing butterflies, nothing else as we were joined by a family with two small boys who really enjoyed the board walk and saw how much noise they could make , just as mine would have done at that she too :D

  • Thank you Beanie and Mummy :A.

Robin, he really doesn't want to get back in to Martial Arts :(. He wants to try a new trampoline club that's just started up though, and has been talking about getting fit with his Dad. Talking and doing are totally different things though.

PWPS, all Florida tips will be much appreciated! We haven't been for 10 years, so I'm guessing a lot has changed. It was cheap as chips last time :(. We are 'only' going for a week and are staying in the Universal resort, so will spend quite a bit oftime there I'd imagine. I've downloaded the Universal app and had discovered the refillable drinks, but the no ice tip is a good one thanks.

Pooh that's so kind of you to ask your DiL for me. I've been to Daytona beach but not Cocoa beach so shall look that up :T. The boys have been goliven some Disney Dollars by a neighbour, so if we do make it to the Boardwalk they can spend those there. We will also be in Orlando for 4th July Celebrations, so need to decide what to do then.

  • BM, seasonal means I have to do at least 10 shifts per year, which is more than do-able.

Weighed in some old clothes today for a paltry £1.36. Better than nothing but poor really. 'Found' 6p as the teenager infront of me at the self service check out couldn't be bothered to collect his change so I did! Plus 10p roadkill from the other day means I have £1.52 to add to Florida pot. Will keep that to one side until I have more to add.

  • Gained half a pound at chub club last night :(. Was really disappointed, but to be fair it could be hormonal. DH had a partial seizure in the class . He's been surprisingly well today though, and has even been out for a cycle ride with Paramedic Mate.

Had confirmation that my Topc@shb@ck payment of £23.34 is payable :T. Will add that (and the £1.52) to Florida pot when it hits my bank account.

Beautiful weather here today. Dare we hope this is the start of summer??!! Xx

  • Cash back has landed so transfered that, the £1.52, and an extra 94p to make it a straight £300 in the Florida pot :T. We've been granted USA ESTA (visa) access (phew!), so it's full steam ahead :rotfl:.

A guy was supposed to come this afternoon and pick up the dog cage I'm selling on gummytree but he hasn't shown up .

DH is angry and craving sweet things :(.

Took Oakley for his final doggy school session today. All went great apart from when he was on a super long lead and he managed to wrap my leg in it while he ran after a ball. I've lost a lot of skin on my ankle . Nasty friction burn :(:(.
