  • Thanks SA :A. Mr SA sounds very similar to Mr Lucky :(. It's the inconsistency that narks me, daft things like insisting I park far away from supermarket entrances for 4 or 5 visits on the trot, then being told off for automatically parking there the 6th time ("why on earth are you parking this far away from the shop??"). Asking me to dictate texts and struggling to remember more than a few words at a time until we both get confused, but refusing to let me just type it, and then complaining the next time that I don't just offer to do it!! Like I said, daft things but :mad:.

    Despite all that, today has been good. We swapped presents with friends this morning and then had our visit with Santa which was lovely. DS1 'knows' about Santa now but he went along with it for DS2 (and for the present!!). They got Lego which they were thrilled with and it kept both of them, and DH, busy for a good while this afternoon :T.

    Mr SA used to love building Airfix models with DS years ago as well as Lego. Guess it's a "man thing". I know I'm not alone in the brain injury world when I "talk" to you and it's not just us, there must be so many others out there in the same situation. Glad today was a good one :)

  • I have a new wonder at your ability to stay patient, sane, and calm in your situation Lucky. I mean seriously... I actually hand on heart could not do it. Underline could not - it means I actually do not have the capacity for the things that you do. I am in awe of both you and SunAddict. I know you guys love your husbands and all but the irritating little things like the supermarket etc would be the things that caused me to run Him over 'accidentally' with the car. I've little or no patience in that respect.

    I am glad you had a good day. Sometimes a little cry is all you need but you shouldn't hide it away. Hubby needs to know how he is making you feel even if it upsets him and then he forgets about it.

    Yay for two lovely xmas pressies!! I got friend the S&G set £10? Got my journal and a little purse and compact set for her too :) loving B00ts offerings this year. Could have spent a fortune!

    Have a lovely evening. I didn't want to not post after you so kindly pointed out my wishing a month away :rotfl:

    Big love xx

    Hi PLMBL. I saw this on a coaster earlier today and thought how appropriate for my relationship/life at the moment. Just reading your thread and thought you might appreciate it too.

    We'll get there, we've just got to keep going. Flaming mood swings everywhere. :). One day me and my DH might synchronise.

  • Heh heh Supersaver, those swings are brilliant! Totally true! I'm back to feeling more normal and DH is a depressed/angry monster again, it's like we just pass the baton back and forth. As you say, one of these days we might syncronise!

    Lilt, you'd do it if you had to. You get used to it, it just gets too much on occasions (usually when tiredness or hormones are added to the mix!).

    SA, I'm so pleased we have each other for support Xx

    Well the boys and I haven't crossed the door yet today, but DH has been full of busy. This morning he was helping our friends move house and then after lunch he attempted a cycle ride with Paramedic Mate but he had a wave of fear so they came back home again. I had a feeling this would happen now that the other tablets have stopped. Please cross everything for us that we get through Christmas without incident!

    Fat club later :eek::eek:.
